Daisy and the Trouble with Piggy Banks
A new Daisy book is always a huge event in my house – my eight year old daughter has been a big fan for years and has read, and re-read, the books many times. In this edition, Daisy’s best friend Gabby has a new micro-scooter. Not just any scooter either – her one is simply immense and squirts water and flashes lights and makes fantastic noises and, of course, Daisy just has to have one. The only problem is that there is no money in her piggy bank and the micro-scooter costs an awful lot of money….The good thing about having a best friend like Gabby is that she offers to help you. Together, Daisy and Gabby set out to make enough money to buy Daisy a super expensive micro-scooter with disastrous consequences. This is a funny story and, even though Daisy sometimes makes mistakes, you can’t help loving her. The book has some great extras at the end, including questions about the story to help improve comprehension and recall. I think I love these books as much as my daughter and they are great fun to read together.

Good introduction to chapter books
Thanks to this book, we had to do a car boot sale, as Daisy did, so my 7 year old daughter could make some extra cash!Apart from this, we always enjoy Daisy books, predictable though the vocabulary is. Large print, easy to read and understand. Nice introduction to chapter books for children.

Good books.
My 7 year old loves Daisy books and they really encouraged her to read herself. Great character Daisy and the trouble she gets into but never her fault.
