But the product itself is good. For those who are looking to get these ...
--Amiibo full in depth review--For starters, I am giving each an all the amiibo's in this list the same review as most allhave the same function.I have given it a 4 stars because it would be 3 stars due to the price on most. But theproduct itself is good. For those who are looking to get these amiibo's, wait a littlebit. They should come back in stock eventually as it has been promised. So buy out theother one's on the list that are more available to have at this point. From the product design, it's a knock off design from the characters trophy that you getfrom finishing classic mode. Most are pretty decent crafted and pretty appealing to lookat. Now for the in depth product usage review for those who are unsure to how they work. Andto those who do know, you might learn something. Going in order of how they are used:-All amiibo's are not and I mean NOT region locked. This allows you to play with a Japanese,European/Australian, USA made amiibo on any console. This can help you find better prices.for amiibo's if you so want them badly now.-Registering the amiibo's is extremely easy to use and the wii u gamepad will quickly recognizethe amiibo on the character selection screen on smash modes. You don't even have to touch,it will recognize it that fast.-You can feed it equipment stuff to boost the speed, power, and defense stats like a customcharacter. But if you are wanting them for training purposes like myself, then this would bebetter not done.-They start out at level 1 and will cap at level 50. Leveling is easy to do, just have themfight against a cpu's for a bit. Set the timed match to an hour or 99 minutes or the stockto 30 or higher. This allows for the match to go for long periods, and allows them to levelup continuously. They also gain levels for finishing matches, so it's not best to level fromthe longest match possible always. But after they reach level 50 is when they are more usablefor your training. They are better than a level 9 will ever get. on the level scale, they aremore like level 13-15. But they also learn and change up move usage after a bit of playing againstthem.-Saving amiibo data is easy. Back out of the character selection (DO NOT TURN GAME OFF) andthe game may ask you to tweak your amiibo. It will only ask that if you used 1 amiibo.Tweaking is just feeding it equipment stuff, which for training purposes is pointless. After that it will pop up with saying put the amiibo on the game pad and hold it there. This only takes a second just to transfer data. If you used more than 1 amiibo, it won'tsay will you tweak? and goes straight to the data transfer screen.-Now for how each one battles. They are all pretty even, not one is better then the other.Which is why it's good to just have at least one amiibo to use. They may be better then some othersbecause you have played with them more so they are smarter. Sadly though, they are not goodat using combo skills. Those types of things would be difficult to program anyways. Combo's beinglike a character would chain attacks together. Such as grabbing, and down throw to follow up withan aerial attack. This makes the more tricky characters to use more difficult for the amiibo'sto use.-There is a character who each amiibo's have trouble against. That is Rosalina and Luma. It's due to the fact that they don't know how to deal with Luma. Like on online matches, most people know to kill Luma if you separate the two. While the amiibo's won't. They alsodon't understand Luma's ranges as well for simple attacks. But after quite some time and playingthey get a better grasp, but don't fully understand Luma. So you can easily kill them witha down attack in the air while they are off stage.-Now here's how some of them work. They do have a somewhat learning chip in them that willchange up their moves and how they attack. But the sad part is the fact that they also cheat. How they cheat is like this. When you press the button A on the controller, your character willdo a simple attack. The controller acts as an input device to the system, so when you press A,the system transfers it through the game data to do the simple attack. But with the amiibo, the system transfers it to the game and the amiibo, so when you press A, the amiibo knows it.This allows them to almost always get perfect dodges. How I can tell that they can do this. When going up against an opponent who grabs, it's better to use jab attacks, which is the rapid A attack. But whenever I do use a jab on them, it's like they are a mind reader and roll to the back of mealmost instantly. And they never do this regularly unless I use a jab. They also can tell ifyou are going to shield against a dash attack. In this case they will grab. But I have gottento the point where they go on a grabbing frenzy. And they are good at it. They can do backwardsgrabs perfect everytime even. That is when you quickly turn around and perform a grab instantly. It's not easy to do.-The amiibo's are in-tuned with sweet spot hitting as well. For instance, Marth has a goodsweet spot at the end of his sword. And they can recognize how to sweet spot hit easily andhow to do it every time. So they are accurate with all the punches. But they also don't getperfect hits every time but most of the time. So better work on effective dodging.-When amiibo's play against each other, they play more dumb then they do against you. Itmight be because they can't recognize the input device that a fellow amiibo will do. Sothey play blind, and act almost as dumb as the regular cpu's do, but play better then theydo. All in all, the amiibo's do make a good self training partner to get the hang of differentmovements of characters, especially the popular to use one's. It allows you to play againstsomeone who's better then a level 9 anytime for hours as well. But it's good to note thatwhen you face others, they probably won't have the most effective dodging to the digits thatan amiibo can. They are also pretty cool to have and collect as well. And when the pricesdo finally drop, we can all finally collect all of them in our list of amiibo's to own.Having a good variety will help with the most effective of training. And they can be funto share with others. Overall, the product is really good and I highly recommend these, but at the $12.99 price.

Excellent Zelda Amiibo
This Amiibo is from the Smash lineup and features brunette Princess Zelda making a fierce pose. I purchased this Amiibo to unlock free item drops in Tears of the Kingdom, and so far it has been well worth it. The quality is good and the colors are vivid. I like Zelda’s stern and powerful expression, she looks really cool.

Gotta catch 'em all!
The media could not be loaded. *Note: Skip to 0:30 in the video for detail shots of Luigi*These amiibo never really interested me when they first came out, but at some point I finally got taken by the hype and tried one out. My collector's OCD quickly kicked in and here I am now trying to collect them all.It took me awhile to figure out how they actually work, so hopefully I can help others make sense of it all. First of all, if you want to actually use them, and not just collect them, you'll need to take them out of the box because there is a metal square in the packaging that prevents the NFC chip from being read through the packaging. Curse you, Nintendo! You'll also need an amiibo-compatible game and console.*Luigi*Here is Luigi's current compatibility across amiibo-enabled Wii U/3DS games:Super Smash Bros. (Wii U/3DS) - Read+write - Train and fight your amiibo to level it up, each battle your amiibo is in earns you extra coins & items.Mario Kart 8 - Read only - Tap once to permanently unlock a Luigi outfit for use while playing as your Mii character.Hyrule Warriors - Read only - Tap once per day to get a weapon rated 3 stars or lower, or rupee/crafting material bonus.Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker - To be announcedMario Party 10 - To be announcedKirby and the Rainbow Curse - To be announcedYoshi's Woolly World - To be announced*Read/write*It's important to understand how these work. You can save data from an amiibo-compatible game to your amiibo figure itself. But you can only save one game data to it. At the moment, the only game that actually writes to amiibo is Smash Bros. The other games just read from it to unlock items without saving anything back to the amiibo. But as more read+write games come out, you will have to decide which game to tie your amiibo to. You can always delete the data on your amiibo, so if you change your mind on which game to use it for, it's not a big deal. You will just need to wipe it clean and start over. For read-only games, you can use the amiibo to full effect while it is storing data for another game. For example, all my amiibo have Smash Bros data saved to them, but I could also still use them afterwards for unlocking Mario Kart 8 outfits.*Quality*These are actually very impressive quality-wise. They have very detailed molding and painting and are really not a bad deal for $12.99. Some of them come with some imperfections, however. My Samus has a side-leaning stance that looks kind of stupid, and Link has a bent sword, ha. But for the most part, they look fantastic.*Rarity*Unfortunately, it appears some amiibo quickly ceased production, though this was never officially confirmed by Nintendo. Unless they decide to make another run of older amiibo, this leaves some of them being quite rare (such as Villager/Wii Fit Trainer/etc). So if you want to get them all, you'll need to spend a lot of money to get the older ones, and make sure to pre-order the new waves before they become scarce. I certainly think they make for a fun hobby trying to collect at the $12.99 MSRP each, but definitely don't think they are really worth $30-60 each that some of them are going for now.So overall, they definitely make for a fun gameplay extension for the games they are compatible with. But fortunately, they are absolutely *not* required to fully enjoy any game since they play very minor roles in the games. I personally enjoy them more for the collectibility aspect. So I will leave it to you to decide if they are worth buying and how you use them. I am definitely enjoying my amiibo collection so far, and look forward to the ones yet to come. Good luck trying to catch 'em all!*Summary*Pros:[+] High production quality[+] Fun to collect[+] Gives you great in-game bonuses/items/perks[+] Not required to fully enjoy any gameCons:[-] Rarity on some amiibo makes it difficult/expensive to collect them all[-] NFC chip can't be read without removing amiibo from packaging
