Multi Scokets Extension Lead Individually Switched 5 Way Surge Protected Power Strip Wall Mountable Extension Cord 1.8M ¡­

I have probably had about 20+ extension strips over the years, some have been shocking, thin plastic, bad plug contacts, awful switches etc, but this one is THE best I have ever seen/used.Firstly it is really well made, and you also have the choice of either 3, 4 or 5 way - I needed the 5-way.For ME, and socket MUST BE SWITCHED, there is no exception to this rule, as I actually lost a friend many years ago who got electrocuted when he pulled an electric fire plug out of an unswitched socket... if it had been switched and he had switched the socket off first, he would still be here.The switches on this strip are really solid with a nice action and they have a good reassuring 'click' when being operated.There is also 'Surge Protection' too on this, something else I like to see, as it can prevent damage to devices such as TV's etc.Both the plug and where the mains cable goes into the socket are well supported, no chance to the wires coming out to expose individual wires, as might happen with cheaper types.A nice touch that I haven't seen before is that the switches are also colour coded, just a nice feature to see.A little safety warning about ANY extension socket, is to make sure you don't exceed the 13A limit with what you have plugged into it, and things like kettles, irons, washing machines, fridges and hair dryers etc should never be plugged into extensions, and I personally like to limit the maximum load to no more than 5 Amps myself, a little over cautious I admit.For the price I personally think it is good value for money, especially given the quality.. gets 5 stars from me all day long - great product !

I bought the 4-output version as I needed a mains strip with the lead exiting to the left when wall-mounted and all my existing spares had the cable coming from the right. I particularly like the four different coloured switches on the sockets and the whole design fits into modern domestic kitchen decor well.Build quality seems good and the strip has been working fine with one security camera PSU permanently powered up along with an 800W toaster and a filter coffee maker intermittently in use with no noticable heating or discolouration.The only oddity is that there is a small red push button at the side which does not appear to do anything. I suspect they have or had a model with integrated breaker or RCD using the same tooling.

I realise it's only an extension lead, but the colour switches make it easier to distinguish between each one and it looks better as well! Having a light for each socket helps, though they are small and it's not always obvious in clear daylight to see whether something is on (though you will know from the direction of the switch anyway).

Perfect for my needs. I needed switches for my sockets and this item does that well. Good quality, solid switches.

Good quality, handy having on /off switch and light for each switch. Also handy is the reset switch on the side.I run my extractor fan, kettle and led kitchen lights with this, had them all on and boiled the kettle all at once and had no problems

Turns one plug socket into five plug sockets. Well built. Colourful switches that are easy to see and use.So far it has not exploded or become sentient and tried to take over the world.Further updates as news breaks...

Best extension lead I have ever used and looks cute too.
