Strong Hand Tools MGH4510 Magnetic Power Grinder Rest, Mag Base Model, Wrench Storage, Spare Disc Holder, Cable Wrap Hook, Holds Up to 5" Grinders

I used this Power Grinder Rest for the first time today, and I'm impressed with the simplicity and usefulness of it. It fits both my 7" Metabo and my 4 1/2" Harbor Freight grinders. Today's project was to shorten a rectangular table frame made of 18 ga. angle. I also added four short legs cut from 18 ga. square tube. All the metal was already painted, so I had to remove the paint before welding everything back together. I clamped each piece to the edge of the welding table with a Kreg auto-adjust clamp, and used the 4 1/2" grinder with a flap wheel. I ground one side of the square tube, shut off the grinder, slipped it into the Rest, flipped the tube 90 degrees, and re-clamped it. The grinder was still winding down by the time I picked it up and switched it on again to grind the next edge. I didn't waste any time waiting for the grinder to stop before flipping it over and laying on it's back (or front) on the table. The Power Grinder Rest holds the tool at an angle, making it easy to reach over and pick it up. Mine has the magnetic base, which holds everything secure to my metal table top, at least with the small grinder/flap wheel. I'm planning on buying at least one more Rest so I can have both grinders at the ready!!

These are great for setting on a table but thats it. You can't hang it vertically which i was pretty disappointed about. But its handy for keeping all my stuff together. I work in a confined space and having these help. I bought the other kind with the clamp on it and I like it a lot more just because I can hang it vertically. But if you're just gonna be on a table top try it out.

solid product. easy to assemble and I have no issues with it. Would definately purchase again and might if I can get some more funds.

I absolutely love this product. It stays in place and keeps my grinder off the table. I have 3 of them. The magnets are super strong and stay where it is placed.

These work very well with both my DeWalt 11A and 5A grinders! Strong Hand makes very nice welding equipment!

This holder helps keep your table top less cluttered. I wish I'd have thought of it, first.

I'm sure this product is fine for flat surface applications, but using it on inclined or vertical surfaces is a let down (literally). I was excited to get this thing out into the field and have it close by, stuck to a beam or plate holding my grinder up off the ground. The problem is that the magnetic base is just too weak to hold up a 5 inch Makita. Very dissapointing.
