Bought my bike thinking it would be fun messing with points. But I could never quite get the timing right ( ran out of adjustments) and it always had a miss fire I couldn’t get rid of. Yes, likely had something else like a weak coil, bad wire, idk. Saw this kit online, seems that it has been around for a while, and people had good things to say about it. Swapping it in for the points out was a fairly simple process. Setting the timing was even easier (far simpler than setting points and has far more room for adjustment.) Hardest part is getting the boots onto the coil ends of the spark plug wires (which is always the case). Bike runs silky smooth now and I don’t have to worry about adjusting the points again!
