Authentic, real suede&sheepskin/wool, NO FUZZ left behind boots! Fit my wide calves in size 10.
I bought the Wine colored Elle boot in tall on here, and the Charcoal colored Elle boot in tall from a retail store. They are identical in every way. I do almost all of my shopping online, but these were the 1st name brand Bearpaw boots that I've purchased from Amazon, so I wanted to be sure they were authentic. I just so happened to order these within the same week, and thus can easily compare the 2. I have pictures of each identifying mark for those who may have the same questions as me.AS FOR THE FIT: These fit as expected. I have a pretty wide calf, and was worried I wouldn't be able to find regular sized tall boots that fit. They are very snug on my calf, but as you can see, they do fit. Mine are a size 10, which probably gives a little more circumference in the calf. I know they don't show any additional circumstances as you go up in size, but I've found that they do go up to a big enough extent that the size 10's fit my calf. I am a bigger build, so if you're worried about these fitting your calf, I'm sure they're going to fit just fine. They will stretch a bit over time, as well. I originally bought a size 9, and my toes were squished to the tip. The 10 fits in the toe, but they are a bit narrow. I am usually a 10 in everything, but my daughter's size 9's in the Bearpaw "Emma" tall boots fit me good. Of course, she's been wearing them around for 2 years, so that may play a part. I don't know if the sizing has changed, or if it really just depends on the style, or if it's a hit or miss. To be honest, I never should have ordered a size 9. I know that much. Her boots fitting me was probably an anomaly. So, I'd say these are true to size, but do not size down. I do wish they were a bit wider in the foot and calf, but this is my experience with all boots of this style. You can roll the shaft down on these boot, as you can see. You do need to roll them down before putting them on, tho. There's not enough room in the shaft to roll them down after they're on you leg.Quality: These are made very well. Real leather, and real wool is used. You can always tell the difference in real wool vs. synthetic. I tried on a pair of Koolaburra Uggs from Kohl's, which is the lower end line for Uggs that they make special for certain retailers, and they are priced in line with Bearpaws. And...OMG, my whole black sock, and pant leg was covered in fuzz! I am not exaggerating. It was a massive amount. I couldn't believe how bad it was, because those boots were regular over a $100, too. I wear black pants almost always, so this was a big frustration, and thus, I did not buy any Koolaburra boots. There was not a speck of wool left anywhere after trying on these Bearpaw boots, because they have real wool. It feels much silkier, and plush to the touch. The Koolaburra Uggs were still thick, and still soft, but there was a difference in the texture. The Bearpaw brand is really stepping their game up, and are competing with the top of the line, real wooled Uggs, and for a much better price point. My daughter's Bearpaw's from last year look much better than her top of the line Uggs from last year. Now, will the Uggs actually stay intact longer? Probably. But, for the purposes of a couple of year's worth of use, these Bearpaw's are one of the best boots you can buy, and I am happy I've finally bought myself some, and not just some for my daughter. My wallet is happier, and I'm able to splurge on different colors like these wine boots, that I probably wouldn't have paid the price for in the other brand, due to them not matching as many of my outfits.Honestly, I'm a bit surprised with my findings, but, pleasantly surprised. If you're on the fence with quality doubts, or whether they'll fit your calf, I'd trust the quality, and the calf fit if you wear a size 9 or bigger, (from my personal experience at least), and Size up when in doubt. Because of how well these boots are made, I'd say this is one purchase worth at least trying. The rewards are high if they fit, and if you're not happy, you can always exchange them, or return them. I hope my pictures and experience help give you an idea of what to expect in person. Please click help it you find this helpful. It encourages me to continue to take the time to share my experiences.❤

Just as well made as UGGs but at an attractive price
These Bearpaw Women's Elle Tall Fashion Boots are just as well made as UGGs but at an attractive price. These are tall, suede, boots that are styled after the iconic UGGs boots. They are fully lined in shearling wool. They feature a thick, durable sole that has deep ridges to enhance traction. The suede is genuine leather. The seams are exposed on the boot and they are well stitched. I got the chocolate color and it's a deep, rich, brown, color. I am ~5'8" tall and the boots rise to just above my calves. I have narrow calves but because these boots are lined with thick shearling wool, they don't look too big on my calves. I normally wear a size 10 and this size 10 fits perfectly but there is no extra room in the toe. These boots are a little stiff when you first wear them but the suede softens up and they become extremely comfortable. They are also crazy warm. Do note that there is no arch support. They are pretty much the only shoe I wear in winter because they are comfortable enough to wear around the house but perfectly suited to outdoor wear. Skinny jeans and leggings easily fit down into the boot. I do not wear socks with these but if I did, they would need to be thin socks because the boot fits closely on my foot. If you want to wear thick socks, I would suggest sizing up. For this reason, I would not choose these boots if you want or need to use orthotic inserts because there is just no room for them. One thing to note is that the packaging says they are treated with a "Never Wet" treatment and it shows a picture with water just beading up on the suede. However, water did not bead up when I tested it - it just soaked in. Now because of the thick, shearling, lining, I think they would have to get completely soaked for your feet to get wet but if you are buying these because they are waterproof, keep looking. If you want some tall, warm, boots that you can wear inside and out, these are worthy of consideration. Also note that they have a strong chemical smell when you first open them. I think it is the water resistant treatment and perhaps the outsole. If you are sensitive to off-gassing, you will want to open these outdoors and let them sit outside for a while to let the smell dissipate. I am not sensitive to off-gassing but I know many other are.

Great boot but size seems to run a bit small
I love that these are super cute, like Uggs, and very comfy. I was thrilled to see they came in a wide calf. I have 4 pairs of Uggs i can no longer wear because my calves are thicker than they used to be. I purchased a 7.5 wide in these. The calf fits perfectly. The shoe width is perfect, but the boot seems a tad short since my toes touch the front when I walk. I normally wear a 6.5 in shoes but buy 7.5 in boots and sneakers since I like lots of room in the toe box. These are snugger in the toes than I would like, but comfy everywhere else. Even so, for the bargain price of 29.99 I'll definitely be keeping these. I'll just wear thin socks!

I LOVE BEARPAW boots!
This is my third pair of Bearpaws now and I would say they are better made, more comfy and have better traction than my UGGS. After we had the latest round of freezing rain the only boots I could stand upright in and walk (albeit slowly) were the Bearpaws. I won't buy another pair of UGGS now that I know about Bearpaws, and the price is much better as well.

Pure comfort!
Having purchased the shorty boots a couple of months ago and falling head over heels with them, I decided I really wanted the longer style for winter. At £57, I spotted these and knew I had to get them.I am a size 7 with very wide feet due to bunions or onions as my partner calls them🤣At first a little tight across the very top of the foot and a little tight across the bunion. As with my shorty boot, after 1 day if wearing they felt sooo comfortable and so warm.Exceptionally well made and the hickory looks great. Why buy the very expensive well known brand when these are far superior, never wet technology and great non slip soles.Winter is coming!
