The Story of Joseph and his daughter Sheba
This is another Book that everyone should read for it identifies who Joseph really was. I regret that I cannot give it five stars because there are some points which aren't correct. That is forgivable for I challenge any good researcher to be one hundred per cent accurate. I am only able to spot such deviations because I took the time and trouble to study Ancient Egyptian and then had the good fortune to come across a legend mentioned by the late Sir Wallis Budge which identifies Sheba as Etiye Azeb who was the favourite wife and Queen of King Solomon otherwise known to Egyptologists as Ymn Htp III. Some vowel sounds were not written in Egyptian, mainly the letter 'E' and it is a convention to insert this vowel when none other is indicated. Yet the usual translation for this Queen is 'Tiye' and the translator forgets that some names, especially when from another language, did begin with a vowel as was the case with 'Etiye'. If only Ahmed Osman had studied the Kebra Nagast and the legend found by Budge then he should have got the identity of Joseph's daughter right.

Could have been better
This was an okay book, I do recommend it for any ancient history or religious history buff. It felt like it needed more info on Solomon and David and the stories and family histories related to them in the Bible. There was a great deal of information on Joseph, which was very interesting. However, he wasn't actually a king. A family tree would have been helpful, how Joseph's lineage led to Hebrew pharoahs and their influence on history. Some info on why the Bible related the stories differently and in a totally different time period would have also been helpful. Osman did do a lot of research though, and I really enjoyed the photographs. I wanted to see more.

He knows where Joseph's (Yuya's) bones are today!
When an interested person really wants to know the truth, but doesn't have the resources, Ahmed Osman spells every step out in addressing the claim from all angles. This was amazing, and inspired to get both my Bible and Quran out to read the sources Osman quoted. Amazing!

A well-written look into the beginnings of the children of Israel in the land of Egypt
Well-written, well researched. Osman believes Joseph and Yuya were the same person; and Moses and Akhenaten. Very convincing. Worth the read if you've been curious about the parallel histories of Egypt and the beginnings of the formation of the tribes which called themselves the children of Israel (Jacob).
