Wow!
These are FANTASTIC tires! This is the first set of winter tires I've ever owned in 6 years of driving and the difference is absolutely night and day. I've had all terrains on my trucks and jeep, but these are on another level! I had studs installed because I live in very icy Idaho. These grip the ice so well, it's actually crazy. And they're super budget friendly! I'd recommend to anyone. 10/10!

Excellent winter tire
These tires are great winter tires. Do excellent on snow/ice/ even nasty mud. Have run several over the years, on front wheel drive. Very stable 80mph on interstate, but just a tad noisy. For even more control on ice get them studded.

Excellent snow tire for the money!
This tire is great value for money! I live in Anchorage, Alaska and I bought a SET of these tires online to avoid the Alaska "because we can" prices, (huge thank you to Amazon also for free shipping to my house!). I have driven on them for an entire winter season now. I average about 100 miles per day and I drive 5 days out of 7. They are fitted on a REAR wheel drive Mercedes diesel sedan. This year has been one of the worst years for driving weather as there were many days where temperatures hovered just over freezing in day and then dipped down to below freezing in the evening, all while getting snow and rain. This of course made conditions right for making the roads basically sheets of ice. I have run Blizzaks on this car in the past and they were great, but I thought I'd try another brand and save some money. I'm very happy to say the Sumitomo tires are right on par with the Blizzaks. I run them WITHOUT studs and at the tire pressures recommended for my vehicle. NOTHING makes a car safer or handle better than a good driver. I am a professional driver and have been to several EVOC and general commercial schools, so I have a very good sense of what my vehicles can do and are doing while I'm driving. NO tire exempts you from using your brain when the roads are bad. That said, this tire performs very well in freezing slush. It's tread pattern efficiently sheds water and slush out of the tire. On glare ice, it does well also as long as you don't make SUDDEN movements side to side. This causes weight shift in the car and it will break traction with ANY tire..studded or not. The tires brake well and took a balance easily. I've noticed no greater road noise than with other snow tires and the ride is very acceptable. I even drove these tires at 80 mph on glare ice to test their characteristics and they performed well and I never had the sense I was out of control. HOWEVER, I DO NOT recommend this!! I did it to test the tires but I am very well aware if I would have had to make any sudden movements with the car at this speed, I'd have likely gone into an uncontrollable slide condition and ended up off the road. I included that information to give you confidence in the tires. Since it's only been one season, their durability is still up in the air. Any tire with this kind of soft rubber composition must be changed out after temps get to the point they stay over 40 degrees consistently or they will wear EXTREMELY quickly. So far, I'm very impressed with them and fully recommend them as an economical alternative to pricier tires!!

Ten Stars if I could!
So far these are the best winter tires I have ever owned! They are quiet, ride very well, and have tremendous traction. Best part is I saved half over Firestone and Nokian. I will definitely buy again.

Super Tires
I’m up in the mountains of Vermont. We just got slammed with 22 inches of snow yesterday, and I was out driving my little VW with no problems at all. These tires have been amazing, and I never even got them studded. What a great deal.

Winter is coming.
And this is not Game of Thrones but Southeast Alaska where snow and slush can be a scary venture in driving. I am very happy to have these tires and I ordered studs to insert once I get them. I feel safe already. Fast delivery as well. However, I am not sure why this tire is no longer able to be delivered to Juneau, AK. I should have ordered 4 initially so now I may be stuck with 2 tires that may be of no use to me.
