After going through two failed AcuRite thermometers in the past few years, I decided to try something new—and I'm really glad I stumbled on this one. The first thing I love about it is that it has no buttons. It turns on when the thermometer is extended and turns off when it is closed. It seems like a no-brainer design now that I've used it, but I've been used to using a totally unnecessary on/off button. Second, the Fahrenheit/Celsius button is locked away in the battery compartment where it can't be accidentally triggered. Unless you have a need to quickly switch between the two, this is yet one less button to accidentally press.The two things I like most about this is how fast this thermometer is. The first time I used it, I couldn't believe how much faster it was than the AcuRite I've been using. Second, it has IP65 water resistance—which is *so* great for making sure I don't ruin the thing with a splash of water or cleaning (which I did with at least one previous thermometer).

The thermometer reads super fast and seemed to be accurate. The display is a good size for old eyes. We are satisfied with our purchase. Just don't test the tip on your finger...it is sharp!

I have purchased many different meat/food thermometers and I like this one the best. Super fast readings and a magnet to put it on my oven hood. Retractable end that auto turns it on when extracted.

I purchased this little thermometer back in 2016 (this review is in 2025) and have been using it ever since. It's been a relatively faithful tool during that time. The size is great, it's small and out of the way and the magnet is really handy.Let's talk about accuracy for a minute. Over the last few years it seemed to start eating batteries more and more frequently, also it seemed like the accuracy was drifting. Nothing bad but not as pinpoint accurate as it once was.My only real complaint about the unit is the lack of a back light. When grilling outside in the winter I needed to have some extra light from a headlamp or flashlight to read the display.My unit started failing this year, started noticing the display staying on when the probe was stowed away, some wonky things on the display, and the temp readout slowly fluctuating up and down. Again though after 9 years, I have no complaints it last a good long time for the value.I would absolutely recommend this little unit for the price point.

First off I had been gifted 1 yr ago that other expensive thermometer and it glitched all over the place it went up and down and never gave me an accurate reading ….time to find a replacement! And this one is it …so many great qualities. First the packaging love it ! Didn’t have to slice into an artery to open. It’s small lightning fast with accurate readings doesn’t glitch -has a terrific hook which I now use instead of digging thru draws for 5 min to find it when I need it and it’s magnetized so you could place on any metal surface to store ! It comes in colors and honestly it’s just about perfect ! You need a thermometer obviously it’s why you’re looking just pick your fave color and buy it already ! And it has a 3 yr warranty! Honestly what more could you ask for ?
