Rosewill Portable Air Conditioner 12,000 BTU, 4-in-1: AC, Fan, Dehumidifier & Heater, Remote Control, Self-Evaporation, Up to 300 Sq.Ft., White - (RHPA-18003)

Rosewill’s portable ac unit was my first try with the technology and it’s safe to say that i am very satisfied with how the purchase went! had initially tried some of those cheaper box options but none of them were actually effective at keeping a room cool. this one does a great job at warding off the southern california heat with very little afterthought. It might start loud, but it usually gets quieter a few minutes later once the temperature is controlled. haven’t had any trouble replacing the water as well, which was my biggest worry going into it. All said, very happy with the purchase and don’t know how I went so long without it!

We got this unit in June, 5 months ago. The a/c worked fine but now that we're using it for heat downstairs near our doorway, it's not working right. If we go above 80 degrees it will run for a few moments than it starts making a LOUD humming noise and it will not shut off , we heard it from upstairs and had to shut it off. Also, some of the numbers on the display are now not working. In order to use the warranty to get replaced/ repaired, they've asked to send it in with us paying the shipping costs!! I put in the specs to get an idea of the costs and it's going to cost 125.00 which is a little more than 1/3 of the costs!! I would recommend to buy locally or go with another manufacturer that has better return policy/warranty repair maybe that could be done locally instead of sending it in... I work for a telecommunications company, I could only imagine if we had the same return policy how many customers would be upset that they would pay so much for their product to only have to pay out more to get it fixed while under warranty.. we've worked with repair shops so customers don't go without!!! Would NOT recommend at all

This ac generally works good but it has been a little confusing. It seems to work a little different each day. But 1st.....when we took the ac out of the box the bottom drain plug was broken off and laying in the bottom of the box. So we will have to address that issue with them. Also I purchased extra coverage and I haven't received any information on that or the warranty from Rosewill. The ac keeps our living room / dining room area nice & cool though. The 3rd day the ac started shutting itself off and would come back on I guess when it needed to get our room to the set temperature. That was the first time it had done that but I did have temperature set lower. Tried the sleep mode and it is definitely not quieter. It has been really loud when the compressor is on only. However today I just noticed that it is actually being very quiet and the compressor is on. We purchased a 12000 btu......and it is keeping about 400-450 sq ft. Nice and cool.....yes I would still recommend this product because cooling is great, size of the machine is great and overall I am pleased.

I have about a 600 sq ft 1 bd condo on a top floor building with no tree shade at all so i get the sun all day long and heat from lower units. If i leave my bedroom and bathroom door closed it does a decent job at keeping the whole place cool. I have a gaming/editing PC that is on most of the day sometimes and i just run the unit all day, currently have a second unit in the bedroom running and both do very well in the 90+ days to keep it nice and cool. The only thing I wish i could adjust is the flapper angle to angle it down a little, it has a swing function but i dont care too much about that. Also the remote is a little weird sometimes it will not respond to input, but no reason to knock it for that.May end up buying another to replace the smaller one in the bedroom.

Bought two units; one for myself and one for one of the tenants. Mine never blew cool air. The compressor will operate for 2 minutes then ambient air is blowing for 20-30 minutes. I set up an Accu-Rite temp/humidity gauge across the room. It stayed at 76° & 37% humidity for about 30 minutes. Within an hour it went to 78° & 39% humidity. The heat from the unit was heating up the room while it was set for 64°.The other unit worked fine. Had to use a circular saw to size the adjustable slide bar to 30". Room became noticeably cooler within 3 minutes.I've left two replies on here with Rosewill and, by 11am tomorrow morning, it'll be 48 hours since I've left my number for a return call as the wait time was 130 minutes and I pressed #1 for a callback to the number as repeated to me.I would like a replacement more than a refund but how can you do that without communicating it to Rosewill?

Have been using this Rosewill Portable Air Conditioner for approximately one month now. It is placed in my bedroom because that room retains the most heat, despite whole house air conditioning. It cools the room down in just a few short minutes and leads to a much better sleeping situation. It is noisy, but I battle that problem by using a noise machine that drowns out the noise of the a/c. Installation is easy-peasy. Only takes a few minutes. I highly recommend this product.

I purchased a new Rosewill Air Conditioner, it arrived in a reasonable amount of time. The problem currently is that it was used, as it is missing parts and also was leaked inside the box. Support, to this point has been worse than horrid. I am truly disappointed in this order. I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a quality working new air conditioner.Edit1: Now after disputing the charge Rosewill actually lied, and said I accepted the machine and that I never noted damage. This thing leaked, do not buy from Rosewill, they will lie and refuse returns for their extremely defective used product.Edit2: Still months later disputing this charge as the A/C is still sitting in a safety box bottom waiting for the seller to figure out how they are going to pick it up. UPS will not pickup leaking products, it's a federal safety law reason. Just makes no sense why a seller would cause this many problems.Edit3: Still here we are 6+ months later and the seller does not reply to emails and messages and Amazon says they cannot do anything because I disputed this fraud transaction with the seller. The seller says that I only want a free product, which is not true. No reputable company will pickup a leaking damaged A/C due to federal US laws.Edit4: After nearly 1 year later, order is still not refunded, Rosewill refuses to reply to any messages. They say that I have to send back their defective product, at my cost, which cannot be done, due to it leaking before it arrived, plus pieces visibly missing before I even received. Best guess, it was a returned item which was broken upon receiving it back, they didn't check it and shipped it out to me, now they expect me to eat the cost. At this point, I am working on a small claims lawsuit. This is not how customers should be treated.Edit5: The seller is still trying to steal my money. At this point, it appears that I have to file a legal court case against this supplier. The defective, damaged product that has leaked, has been ready to pickup by the seller, for more than a year. They refuse to pick it up and shippers will not take it because it has leaked during transport with dangerous chemicals inside.

Bought this originally for my bedroom at night it manages that room and much more, and cools so well. I bought another one for my moms room. Now between the two it’s doing an amazing job. We have a large home so I think we will get one more for the main area and we should be covered.
