Cheap and easy
I wanted a cheap fixture that would be on all night to replace my motion sensor light. This works fine. I was shocked how small the box is that it came in. This is a cheap all plastic fixture... I'm guessing it will yellow over time. But for the price, I don't really care. I used cheap CFL bulbsĀ CFL Compact Fluorescent 23w Par38 Outdoor Lights - 4-pack and they work with the dusk to dawn sensor. One hint: the holes where the screws go have to be punched out before you can put the screw in. I just used a small screwdriver. But do it before you climb up the ladder.

Great light!
We installed several safety and security features at our home and this is probably my favorite. No longer do I wonder what animal or person is lurking in the back yard and sides of the house. This is so bright that I no longer need to turn my back porch light on, plus I can see every far corner of my large yard and the dark sides. The auto on/off works so well so I don't have to remember to do this myself, as we'd often forget and pay more in electricity previously. My handyman advised me to place it high up under the roof in each corner where the side of the roof meets the back line of the roof, hence maximizing the illuminated area (He climbed into the attic to do the wiring). Best advice ever, as my initial direction to him was to place in front of the house on either side of the garage. My friends noticed the brightness and now want it too.

Good value for a basic dusk to dawn flood light
I was looking for a flood light that will stay on from dusk to dawn for a part of the yard that my dogs use for their bathroom breaks. Looked through the local home improvement stores, all that're available are motion detecting sensor light. My small dog is too small to trigger motion detection light. Finally found this dusk to dawn light on Amazon. The light despite bring plastic, was good quality, easy to install, and lasted through many gusty nights with no issue. Also motion sensing light in a wind tunnel means non-stop flickerings through out the night. That used to kill the CFL bulb on my motion sensor light every couple of days. This new dusk to dawn light is still on its first CFL spotlight bulb which has been in service for two months. This light has already paid for its price many times over by the CFL bulbs it saved. Very happy with the purchase!

Surprising quality
I was very dissatisfied with a light I purchased at a local hardware store for twice as much. I bought this one because of the positive ratings and have not been disappointed. It functions as advertised. It has four screw holes that are lightly sealed so you can easily punch through just the ones you need. It comes with a foam mounting pad so you can get a close and water resistant fit. I have it mounted under the eves on my garage to meet my HOA's requirement for lighting the front of our house at night. It has a surprising amount of illumination. A lot of light for a low price.

and not good changes. The product uses a lot less construction ...
I ordered the same product three years ago; however, there have been many changes, and not good changes. The product uses a lot less construction material, and while this makes it relatively lighter, it also resulted in a flimsy, poorly-made, unstable product. In addition, the tightening nuts for the light posts are plastic (used to be metal), and the nuts easily broke after I positioned each light in place. Now the lights are dangling freely because the nuts are broken and will no longer secure the lights in place.

No safety rating or ground wire.
I very rarely write negative reviews. The over all quality of this light seems good. The reason for my negative review is 2 part. 1st and the biggest concern in my opinion is I see no safety rating. I forget the actual term but it's a standard safety rating that is basically saying it's safe and isn't going to burst into flames. 2nd there's no ground wire. No ground wire combined with no safety rating was way to high a risk for me to attach this to my house.....

Great Purchase
We have had this fixture for the better part of a year now and have been very happy with it the entire time. Installation was simple and quick. It has worked reliably from day one and the convenience of the dusk to dawn sensor is amazing; no more forgetting to turn on or off the light on our own. I really don't have anything bad to say about it, especially having first purchased a fixture from Lowe's that required small halogen tubes that were ridiculously expensive and burned out almost weekly. That was a nightmare and this is a dream, a light that just WORKS! The fixture is pretty gentle on bulbs, we haven't had to replace a single one yet. Highly recommended!Update 2/26/15Still working flawlessly! We've also not had to replace a bulb yet.

light
Great light, super bright depending on bulb you use. All plastic no ground wire, just attach the black and white wires. You will need larger than instructed 1/8" drill bit for screws, or reem larger if using only 1/8" bit. I was shocked at how bright 2 Phillips ecovantage 70w = 90w halogen 4 yr rated bulbs were at 1500 lumens each. More than you need. I just think 2 bulbs hanging under the soffet are ugly during daytime. T style single 300-500w halogen lights look better, but the bulbs in the reflective units burn out to quickly self contained in that housing, got tired of changing them and they cost more.
