Product description ------------------- Produced in the mountain valley of Feneos in Northern Peloponnese, "Fava Feneou" is an edible pulse that comes from Lathyrus sativus L. It is a yellow split pea, small in size, with a fantastic earthy taste. It is a product of Protected Geographical Indication (PGI). "Fava Feneou" is highly nutritious. It is rich in proteins, with 100g of the product containing at least 24g, rich in carbohydrates, with 100g of the product containing 44-60g and rich in natural dietary fibres, with 100g of the product containing 12-15g. Our "Fava Feneou" is cultivated by small farmers at an altitude of 600m around Feneos Lake, in the Feneos Plateau surrounded by the mountains of Helmos, Ziria, Oligyrtos and Saitas. Thanks to the special terroir of this region (high altitude, fertile soil, microclimate) our "Fava Feneou" is characterised by deep, earthy taste, velvety texture and high nutritional value.
