Nutramax Laboratories 2 Pack Cosequin for Cats 80 Count (160 Capsules)

We have a sixteen yr old cat. Before giving her Cosequin she was not very social, lethargic and not very loving. Since being on Cosequin it is very noticeable that she is more social, loving and plays more. Has made her feel better. Thank you for this product!

I liked the product but do not enjoy filling out these questions.

I have 2 cats, each around 12 yrs old- one with joint issues, one with urinary tract problems of several years duration. Snug (UT probs) has rejected at least 8-10 'natural' remedies since becoming symptomatic a few years ago (pills, wet & dry foods, liquid fixes, powders, etc), and I'd given up torturing her with same, figuring the Hill's special diet (that she's tolerated) would have to be enough until we came to a crisis. Of course she'd gained about 7 pounds since starting the Hill's, and had been generally sluggish. Then 3-4 months ago, Zooey (cat #2) was found to have rather extensive arthritis, and I set about finding something 'natural' to help with that. I found Cosequin, and she's done brilliantly with this formula: every night I mix one opened capsule in 3-4 Tbsp of H2O, add about a tsp of powdered brewer's yeast, and she laps it up like it was her favorite beverage. So. Reading the reviews about Cosequin got me thinking I had nothing to lose by trying it for Snug's bladder issues (though she was completely uninterested in the mix I'd been putting out for Zooey). So one day I emptied a capsule directly onto her kibble, shook it up to spread it over the whole lot, AND SHE ATE IT. I gave it to her twice a day for a couple weeks, now once daily, and the difference in her has been apparent from just a week or so in. Her urinary output has improved, there's no longer that strong, pungent smell to her urine, and she seems to be more energetic overall. I've started giving her half C/D formula & half 'mature' formula dry food, with no resumption of urinary symptoms. She's not back to the energy level of pre-urinary issues, but I blame her weight gain for at least part of her ongoing sluggishness. She's better, no doubt, and it's since I started the Cosequin. I'll post another review should her situation change, otherwise, I'm very pleased to have found her some relief. Hope it lasts.

Have been using it for years on a cat with a disability. She has been doing very well on. Have recommended to other pet parents.

My cat has arthritis in her “knees”. She couldn’t actually sit on her haunches or jump on the couch or bed because it was painful. She’d sit on her side and I had to pick her up and put her on bed/couch. After about 3 weeks I noticed she was jumping on the couch with no problem. Now a few months later she can sit too. I recommend this if your kitty has arthritis.

I have a 19 year old, beloved cat that I rescued @ age 3. As a young female was diagnosed with interstitial cystitis. I (& the vet) were at our wits end because I had her in the his office every few weeks with signs & symptoms of a UTI. The cat was overtly very uncomfortable, the trips were costly & the dreaded words of euthanasia were even beginning to be bantered around. Nothing seemed to work. My wonderful vet said he had just read an article on the use of Cosequin to use as a trial with interstitial cystitis. It was a miracle! Cosequin completely eliminated her symptoms. I don't remember how long it took because it was 16 years ago! This same cat has obviously aged, but gracefully. She still licks me (yes, like a dog) every time I pet her. And, what is remarkable is she is still agile. Despite my wishes, she jumps up on furniture & will jump from a sofa to the desk through the air! Please understand, the info I shared on the treatment of interstitial cystitis is not intended for one to diagnose nor treat their cats symptoms without conferring with a vet. I am not a vet nor vet tech. I am merely relating a happy ending due to my experience with Cosequin (which she is still on. I should have stock)!

My vet recommended this for my 1 & 1/2 year old,15# Ragdoll, who was having urinary health issues. He actually saw 2 vets in different practices for this problem. The first vet put him on c/d food, which he did fine on. He was only eating wet, because he didn't like the dry c/d. Two months later, he saw a second vet who did an x-ray to check for stones, and got a clean catch urine, which was sent out to check for crystals. He didn't have stones or crystals. The second vet took him off the c/d, and told me to feed him wet and dry of what I normally feed my other cats. The c/d was costing A LOT! Max was eating 2 cans a day, which is more than 2 cases a month, at $36 a case. He was put on Cosequin 2x a day by the second vet. Max has maintained on the Cosequin since October 2013, with no problems at all. The price of Cosequin at Amazon can't be beat, and all Max knows is that he's getting wet food twice a day, when his brothers and sisters only get it once, which is fine by him! Max went back to the vet in December for a repeat clean catch, which was completely normal, and has not had a vet appointment since. This product was a God-send, It was not an option to put my 1 & 1/2 year old show Ragdoll to sleep!

My eldest cat who is now 12 has been having issues with his leg joints since he was 8. We had taken him to 4 vets to find out what was causing his issues. He had a limp, but no one could find a injury or reason of why he was limping. The fourth vet asked us to try the Cosequin for Cats. It took about 5 weeks, but we saw a dramatic difference! His limp disappeared. After having him on this for 3 years, I took him off thinking maybe he did not need to take any longer. That was an error on my part! He began to move slower and seemed stiffer in his movements after 2 months off the Cosequin. I started to add this to his food again and in a few weeks I noticed that he was moving much better again. We will keep giving this to him for the rest of his life so he has good movement. He has no problem eating it when it is mixed in with his food. In fact we have 2 cats and they share their food, so I know if the other cat should have any issues as he ages, this will help him too.

My 14 yr old cat who was getting slower went lame in one leg night. After a rush after hours trip to the vet we discovered that he had a lot of arthritis in his legs and back. The doctor said there wasn't anything they could do and gave us some painkillers and a little bit of steroids for a few days treatment.After then he was doing OK and back to his regular self. Still stiff and just moving from bed to bed and not much else. I bought these just on the hopes it may ease some of his joints. After following directions and giving him two pills a day for a week - after five days we noticed he was moving better and getting underfoot again. He was moving up and down stairs easier and walking more than usual.After a week we are now doing two pills every second day. Now at several weeks in he is so much better. Now he's not glaring at me if he has to go down the stairs. He's getting under foot, running after his brother and climbing furniture again. The changes in his behaviour has been night and day thanks to this. I haven't seen him this active in years. I'm so grateful this gave my baby a new lease on life. Will buy again and again and recommend it to anyone.

Our 12 yr cat developed a limp. Took her to vet. She has arthritis. Being a cat there is no options for them except certain types of pain relief. We took that but she also recommended this product. I sprinkle 1 pill on every meal (twice a day). She after 2 weeks-her appetite returned, she became more cuddly and was willing to come and be with us vs. sleeping away from us. Would recommend to try. Just going to repurchase now. She is still on a light pain relief that makes sure she feels good and allowed us to stop the kitty prozac she was on.

Have been purchasing these for our cat, she's 15 now but a few years back there, we thought she wasn't gonna make it. She was diagnosed with chronic arthritis and showed clearly in x-rays her joints were basically almost bone to bone. She was depressed, in pain, limped and at times immobile. So we started her on Cosequin, she has since gotten her life back and we honestly think this medication is Godsend!

My senior kitty has been taking one capsule a day for six months now and it's been amazingly helpful for her mobility. She used to struggle with jumping and changing positions from lying to standing, but after a week on Cosequin, she was moving so much easier, and even running up and down stairs and around the house. She's been fine ever since...no problems with movement or arthritis. It's been life changing for her and I wish I'd started her on it sooner. She's 14 and acts as hyper and playful as a cat ten years younger.Also, my bottles are always delivered promptly and without issue. So pleased with this product.

My cat was diagnosed with arthritis in her hip and instead of putting her on painkillers every day, my vet recommended these instead. It took a couple months to fully take effect but wow, my cat is a whole different cat! She seems much happier and more playful than ever. They cost me about $45 a bottle from the vet, so this is a fantastic price as you get 2 bottles. I highly recommend these and I would still continue to buy them from my vet if I had to, they work that well. They also came pretty quickly, about 2 weeks.
