Love everything about Heatizon!
I started out ordering one of these for a whelping room in my kennel and decided that we were going to completely remodel the entire room into 4 whelping suites that had separately controlled heated floors for the puppies so the mamas didn't have to suffer a 85-90 degree space heater for the first two to three weeks of each others new litters. Now the mamas can lay in a cool spot if they wish while nursing while the pups are on 85-90 heated floors without dying from super-heated air in the entire room. When I reordered my next batch of these heaters I unknowingly ordered the next size up not knowing that it would affect anything until a few weeks later when my electrician was helping me test them and told me that they wouldn't work because they would be too big for the area we needed and based on the resistance and amps drawn that I would need to return them and order the original size i had bought. I bought the new ones immediately because we had already started the install.Needless to say we had gotten outside of the return window for Amazon while they had been sitting waiting to be installed. I called Josh at Heatizon. He had me send them directly back to the company and they issued me a FULL REFUND! They did not HAVE to do that because it was sold through Amazon. PERFECT customer service. THIS....THIS is what it is about....people helping people. A+++++ JoshAnyway...sorry so long....only thing i did do was take it off the mesh netting to install in a waterproof uncoupling layer so I could more easily design where my "cool spot" was for the mamas to rest.

Roasty Toasty floor
What a wonderful product! I have been so happy with this new warm floor. It was such an easy project, insulation, and programming. I couldn’t be happier with the results. If I were to do another remodel project I would be ordering more Heatizon System flooring. It was cheaper than the other brand and included a thermostat. Please see my pictures. My husband is an engineer and did the wiring for the thermostat. We had to install the wiring for the thermostat on the exterior of the wall. There was an obstruction or we could have done the wiring inside the wall. It was all pretty easy. There were numbers to call for help if we had needed it. I highly recommend this product.

Don’t bother
So disappointed. We built a tiny home that ended up being 209 sq feet. It has a cement slab, that we laid 2” ridged insulation under the sub floor. We installed two of this electric heated flooring, and poured a self leveling compound ($$$) to set the mats in. We checked to make sure both mats were working property, and they were at the time. We laid laminate flooring on top because our budget had been burned by those step I mentioned before. We also heavily insulated the walls and roof. We also bought a electric fireplace to give the place a extra boost of heat in the winter. It’s been 4 months now (oct-Jan) the flooring has added —an average of $300 on our power bills. And the place is NOT WARM! One of the mats (each runs on its own thermostat) is glitchy, it reads 85 but it’s cold to the touch! I contacted this company and told them our frustrations and problems, they did give some ideas and we tried them to no avail. The tenant we have is so upset, and tired of being cold. We are having to spend 4K now on a heat pump! Just makes us sick. Don’t bother with this product, save yourself the headache and find a more reliable heat source.

Great if you have an electrician on hand
Product seems like it may be good, but turns out you basically need a licensed electrician to install if you want the warranty to be honored. Installation is multi-step and way more complicated than product description indicated. Wish they would have been more detailed. I would have passed!

Heated floors!
We bought this to install in the small bathroom that we were renovating. We may have been able to go with 30 sq ft, so there are a couple of cold spots (next to the toilet and against the wall), but this covers pretty well. We hired an electrician to install. Even though this uses very little energy, he upped the circuit from 20 to 30 amps for the lights, and put this on that circuit. This keeps the floors nice and warm. You can definitely feel the difference on the patches that aren’t heated. I’m happy with our decision to add the heated floors. Temps in Dallas just hit freezing. Perfect timing.

Carefully follow directions and all is good
Rather demanding installation (because I'm an avid DIY type and tackled the job with minimal experience with floor tiling) but it all worked and the heated floor is truly comforting! After the installation and electrical connections were made, I set the thermostat and slowly the tile floor started to warm up...whew! It's one of those jobs where you just hope you didn't mess up and can now proudly say, "I did it." Installation advice: be patient and careful, measure correctly making sure mat lies flat and follow directions (pretty straightforward) and all should be good.

Very long time to heat up
Easy to install, mesh carpet is useless though. The mesh carpet is very wavy making it hard to install under the flooring. Cut the mesh carpet and wired up my own underlay. Takes a very long time to heat up, maybe 30+ minutes. Save yourself the disappointment and spend the extra $100 on a high quality one. Live and learn.

Make sure to test product!
Bought the 100 sqft model. I thought I should test the resistance before I install it to make sure it lines up with what the resistance should be on the roll. The resistance measured 80 ohms while it was meat to be 12 ohms. I’m still trying to get the company to send me a new one. TEST BEFORE YOU INSTALL, it would have been awful if I hadn’t tested it and installed it

Stopped working suddenly after two months.
When it stopped working suddenly after two months, what are you going to do? Pull up the new tile? Then clean up all the hardened Thinset? I would not buy this again in a million years.

Well made and great instructions.
Chose this package because it comes with the thermostat and was highly rated. I needed something well built.
