TELMU Astronomical telescope, super lightweight tripod to observe lunar celestial stars, suitable for beginners amateur children - Christmas gifts for children

My daughter purchased this telescope with her birthday money. We're very impressed with the quality for money. It's really well made, solid in fact, lots of accessories and extremely clear vision too. Unfortunately the sky wasn't particularly clear last night, so my husband took her to an area with less light. It was incredible. My husband said it's just as good as an adult one but very simple and easy for a child to use. For 35.00 you can't go wrong.

I wonder if if I ended up with a different product to the people who gave this a good review, there's just not a chance we could have got good results from this telescope and we tried quite a bit!It was easy enough to put together, but no instruction as to what the additional bits were.It's a very flimsy build - see, this is where I wonder if it's a different product as one reviewer states it's sturdy, but this thing was absolutely not! As soon as it was touched it wobbled for about five-ten seconds, so if your kid (like mine) excitedly tried to put their eye to the eyepiece and even just touches the eyepiece with their head, the thing starts shaking. Sometimes it moved the whole thing and you would need to reset the focus point, it wasn't heavy enough to not move from even light bumps or touches.The actual quality of the optic was rubbish. Five different people, none of them with eye troubles, tried to focus on the moon and none of them could say they felt they were seeing it sharply. I tried so hard it gave me a headache.The actual zoom also, is no good - I could achieve the exact same zoom with my digital camera.Again, a previous reviewer raved and said they were going to try to find Mars next - but you'd have a better chance using the inside of a kitchen roll. This piece of tat isn't going to find Mars!!So pretty disappointing! I was glad to get a refund for this, it really wasn't any good at all and the kids were pretty disappointed that their Christmas present was a bust.

If I could give it no stars I would. Completely useless. Bought as a Christmas present for my niece from Santa. Well it hasn’t worked from day one. Can’t see anything out of it. Contacted the suppliers who said it was only meant for children so only focus’ short distances. Well that would be something but it doesn’t even do that. Thankfully I have received a full refund but we are left with a useless item.

Sadly disappointed with product. She was so excited to expand her growing interest in the sky and it was a real let down when the telescope offered no better view, in fact worse than we could see with eyes. Even more sad as it wasn't cheap!

perfect for my daughter who's 5 I even would have one myself even tho I have a big scope its brilliant if you go travelling because of the size and lightweight

We bought this for my 7 year old daughter. She loves it. Very easy to use and we’ve seen some amazingly clear images of the moon and Venus.

This item didn't work ended up in the bin.

This is terrible cannot see anything through this. Worst present by far for our son
