The Encyclopedia Of Military Aircraft

The book is good but leaves more to be desired. The pictures are good and there is a decent amount of information on each jet. There are some jets not included and I thought they could have gone a little further in depth about some of the heavy hitters of the aviation world. Overall I’ve enjoyed thumbing through, but I’m still searching for more comprehensive works.

The book is in good condition and a good value at the purchase price.

I don't think this book could have went through any sort of proof reading with the amount of typos and misplaced specifications. After being about half way through, I am mainly reading to see how many obvious mistakes I can find. It's also great to see an entry that describes an aircraft as being the most widely produced, the most important, etc., without a single picture. I hope the author didn't put a lot of time into this book.

This book shows in a catalog style a lot of very good pictures of planes an a briefing about their technical issues. Is really a encyclopedia of military planes of the last 100 years. A very good consulting book.

My order arrived on time and in good condition. This was a birthday gift for my dad. He likes to read or watch shows about this kind of stuff and he also works on airplane radar equipment at his job. He enjoys this book very much, it is interesting and informative.

I had an old edition of this book, and I'm very pleased with the new one. The book has good quality pictures, and aircraft overviews are very descriptive. This is a good guide to find information about various military aircraft.

I got this book on a very low 2nd hand bargain price, otherwise i would not bother to order it. There is enough content to cover every military aircraft in WW1, WW2 and modern era, but there is very little statistic info on each, some data are in error, and there is considerable lack of 3 view-diagrams and colored side drawings that are quite popular in such reference titles. Many aircraft are without a single photo as well. I have seen much better similar titles published in the late 80s and early 90s especially from Salamander books and Bill Gunston, that this volume looks rather poor both in presentation and detail in comparison.

This book covers many aircraft and is a good reference tool. Wish it was in alphabetical order it would make it easier to find aircraft

A military aircraft encyclopaedia that ignores the MiG 21, the most produced fighter aircraft in the world, can't be serious.This book should have been ordered by era, not alphabetically. The index exists for the latter reason. There is no way for someone to discover all aircraft from an era and role together.

This book is very useful as a doorstop. Lack of illustrations and accuracy make it a less than ideal purchase
