ForPro Wire Extractor, Stainless Steel, Double End, Easy-Grip Handle, Thin Wire Flat Loop & Wide Loop, Rust-Resistant Impurity Extractor

I had never used this before, so I checked a LOT of reviews first and chose this for its very fine blackhead remover loop. I heard the thicker ones do not work as well if you have smaller pores like me. SO, this is a VERY fine metal loop, and does the trick if you use it right...I learned this the hard way after removing a few layers of my skin on accident, causing redness, peeling, and scarring. Wash your hands before and after, and try not to touch your face too often. What you need to do is cleanse and then steam your face first with either a hot shower, hot wet washcloth over your face, or holding your face over a teakettle carefully, or if you have one, use a facial steamer. After 5 or 10 minutes your pores will be open and your skin will be very soft. Make sure your extractor is sterilized, you can buy a rust-inhibiting solution--normal alcohol will cause this to rust. Then press GENTLY down with the fine loop around one of your blackheads. You can use a magnifying mirror to help you see better. Carefully roll or rock the loop back and forth, and then VERY gently pull downwards. You do not want to scrape or tug at your skin, and you should not go over the same area more than once. Some blackheads are just not ready to come out. Use a gentle exfoliating cleanser afterwards, and a toner. If the extractor does not work on one of your blackheads, try wrapping a clean tissue or toilet paper around each of your index fingers, and then push on either side of the blackhead (do NOT EVER use fingernails!) and squeeze gently and see if that helps it come right out. This is a tool that depends almost completely on the individual using it.The biggest issue I had with this is that there were little small scratches on the handle/grip area. The tool was shiny and clean, with no fingerprints. The package is resealable with a zipper bag, so I'm not sure if this was previously opened. I sanitized anyway (which everyone should do regardless before and after every use).

This is the best extractor. I received one over 10 years ago when I went to Esthetics school and looked for a replacement after my toddler stuck it in the paper shredder destroying both extracting heads (kids will be kids...). It took me a few tries to find the same extractor, but this is it. It is the best extractor on the market. My teacher told me that, and I agree full heartedly. I have several other different extractors that I purchased before I found this one, and they are horrible in comparison. The shape of the metal somehow makes extractions less painful, more effective, and you do not have to use near as much force. I have been using it for years on myself and this thing holds up well. So happy with this purchase.

Size-wise it's a little smaller than I was expecting, but clearly high quality construction. It works on larger and developed blemishes, as well as hard to reach ones, but not most of the small ones that I get. It also took a little bit to get used to using it without scraping off a little skin as other reviews have stated.All in all, it makes me wish I had worse skin so I could use it more :)

3 stars because the name has the word "Wire" in it, so I should have known it would be extremely thin but its a pointless tool because the extractors are too thin. There's no pressure being applied to the outside of the blemish, so its ineffective.Usually I'd give 1 star if the product is completely useless, but I didn't read the description close enough to see that its "wire" which = thin.

I bought this extractor and thought it worked really well. I didn't have to apply much pressure to the skin to get the clogged pore to empty. I didn't realize that it was so thin until I had to replace it when I misplaced mine! 5 shipments later and each comeodone extracting tool looking identical in shape but not in thickness to the original I couldn't find one that worked as well. I can't live without THIS one. The thicker ones you must use a lot of pressure causing swelling and sometimes infection. This body tool works very well and if you're aware that you might break the skin you'll use even less pressure with better results. I love this tool!

I've been ordering this particular extractor for years. I absolutely love it. It's delicate, and thin, so easy to misplace. I always order at least 2 every time I order.

I bought this for myself and my GF promptly stole it and took the piece over to her house. Quality is good, no rough edges. You can do damage with these implements if you're not careful. Best to use a facial steamer first, then all the little zits and blackheads pop out so much easier.
