These SUPER THICK cards are made from VERY expensive card stock, at least 150% thicker than store bought paper thin brands, always acid-free archival quality, and in bright white uncoated finishes so they can soak in everything you put on them. We have 3 thickness options, 14pt, 17pt, and 25pt (store bought cards are about 7pt). My 14pt cards are how thick index cards used to be in the 90s, and are more affordable. They comply with the USPS requirements for postcard thickness, only some printers can handle them, please request free samples to try in your printer. 17pt is thicker, more expensive, and does not go through printers, 17pt is perfect for thick flashcards, or watercolors. 25pt is an extremely expensive and very thick card stock. 25pt feels like a little slice of wood, it's extreme. If you want to compare thicknesses remember this, if you stack 100 of my 14pt cards they'll measure about 1.4 inches tall. 100 stacked 17pt cards will measure about 1.6"-1.7" inches tall, and 25pt cards will measure 2.5 inches tall when you stack up 100 of them. Now measure 100 of your store bought ones, they're only about 0.7" inches tall.Have you noticed that my competitors almost never mention the actual thickness of their cards? They call them "heavyweight" but they don't put the thickness measurements anywhere. I was the first to start listing heavyweight cards on (check the dates on my listings) and the first to list them under their true thickness measurement "pt". Permanent marker won't leak through. They're perfect for notes, postcards, printing, painting, artwork, and autographs. You can run them through both Laser Printers and Ink Printers and get wonderful results. They're made in the USA.

Best for Flashcards
My daughter needs unlined index cards for school to make flashcards. It seems like the normal index cards in stores have cheapened up since I was in college. No longer can you use the store ones as flashcards as you can see the answers from the other side when written in sharpie, marker, or even dark pen. These "Super Thick" index cards are indeed nice and thick, and arrive quickly! Could I make my own unlined index cards from cardstock? Sure, but who wants to spend time cutting 200 3x5 index cards every year?! This vendor is now my go-to for all index cards.

Super product, fast service
This is my 3rd order of these cards. They work perfect for ToDos, sketchnotes, mind mapping, Zettelkasten, storyboarding, or doodling! Thick and durable in the back pocket of my jeans. Also, no bleed through regardless of the pen or marker used. I've also used these for quick ink & watercolor washes.I usually soften the corners with my corner punch for a rounded edge. But either way they are great cards!...dave

These cards are great for notes, recipes, small signs and as bookmarks. They're nice and thick so even permanent markers do not bleed through.

Exactly as described
These cards are exactly as described. I purchased them to use on a project with my daughter. They worked wonderfully. Could not see any seep through when using black marker. Definitely will be purchasing again.

Very Thick and Bright White - Enjoyable to Use
The Super Thick index cards by Nordstrom Dumati, LLC are very thick as advertised. My need was index cards that did not require a desk or book under them to take notes from an online course and to draw and sketch. The Super Thick Cards were excellent. They were bright white compared to a warm white which can be seen in a side by side comparison in the attached photo. The bright white card in the photo is one of the very thick cards. The warm white card is a thick card from a competing vendor that costs much more than Super Thick index cards. I purchased both items because the reviews on Amazon did not address my concerns. Are these Super Thick index cards hard like wood? No. The are, however, very thick as advertised. They can serve many purposes. They are much thicker than any index card that I have purchased in decades.Does a Sharpie bleed through to the back? No. The Sharpie did not bleed to the back of the card or around the edges of the writing. Can the writing with a Sharpie be seen when held to a light? It depends on the light. If held close to a lightbulb or light box then yes, the writing is visible. If using in normal light or outdoors then no, the writing is not visible.Do the edges bend with normal use? No.Does the paper smudge easily when using pencil? No. This can be a pro or con. If used for art pencil and charcoal sketches, plan to use extra tools and techniques for blending. Can this Super Thick index card be used for watercolor and paints? Yes, but I have not tested enough to make a recommendation. It’s better than any other index card found in retail stores. If liquid like sweat from a cold glass drops on the card, does the card wrinkle? No. I accidentally dripped a few drops of both water and coffe and the card did not wrinkle. Were there any negatives? The white is very white so can be tiring to the eyes. The edges are shown in the photos so that you can see that at least one side of each set of cards has fuzzy pieces from the cutting process making them look unclean. I simply used a tissue to brush off the fuzzy shavings. I thank the reviewers who mentioned the fuzzy edges. The cards take up more space and are heavy in a purse or bag because they are heavier than standard cards. If given to children to be carried in a backpack or if used for speaking notes, expect the cards’ thickness to take up more space. There are some nice looking card carriers for kids’ game cards and interesting teen and adult carriers found on Amazon. They may not say “index card” but can be used for disguising the cards in a fun way. I’m using plastic sandwhich bags for now. Rubber bands will work, but they need to be thick and heavy duty. The Very Thick index cards were a good buy much better than the dollar cards that get quickly ruined and waste my time through quickly bending, smearing, and tearing the first time that I use them. I purchased a second set of two sizes.

perfect for home printed promotional materials; sturdy flashcards for kids
I bought them to get started making some promotional materials for my small business on my printer at home. They are the perfect thickness for that and the printer had no problem with them. I may also use them to make sturdy vocabulary and math cards for kids.
