Fantastic for the knife, compass, and whistle, but the paracord is just for show.
In this video review I show how an everyday guy unravels this thing, if in fact you need it for a survival situation.Spoiler: It took 6 solid minutes to unravel. (see video and skip ahead of need be)Knife; Very handy.Compass; Actually accurate (see video).Whistle; incredibly loud.Paracord; it's functional, but takes forever to unravel... especially when needed in a "survival situation."Over all this is an awesome stocking stuffer. Highly recommended for the majority of the accessories.I have a skinny wrist (7 inches) and there was still quite a bit of space. (at least with this particular model)Overall I wouldn't stake my life on this, and honestly it'd probably be more of a fashion piece than an actual survival tool. But if you don't have pockets, it is a clever way of bringing a knife along with you.

Worth it
Honest and fair review: Pretty nice bracelet for the price. It's true quality 550 with 7 inner strands, and tightly "braided" or "knotted" into bracelet form. Plastic making up the buckle is pretty durable, feels solid though when/if bracelet does finally break- it'll likely be here. Weirdly, it only clasps together on one side- making it feel less secure and likely to come unbuckled, and it has 2-3 times out of 150+ times wearing it. Whistle isn't very loud and is super pitchy- you'll probably annoy someone into coming and finding you if u blow it long/obnoxiously enough- can probably be heard at an unhindered (open field) 500 yards, or 250 yards in the woods (not bad). Compass works: you'll need to take the bracelet off and hold it still and flat, but it does work. The blade is decently strong and useful: it's shaped like a raptor claw and has texture on the back to place your forefinger for better control. Not terribly sharp (maybe not a bad thing), but it's thick and useful to help me pry my windshield wiper blade clips up so I could switch the blades last week when it was 20 out and my fingertips froze. Bracelet was concerningly tight when I first put it on: do not fear. It stretches into a comfortable/perfect size as you wear it a while (getting it a tad wet while washing hands seems to help it stretch). Lastly, after many wears and getting it wet/sweaty, it doesn't smell like anything more than nylon. I looked at a bunch of these. Bought this one. No regrets.

The blade seems good and I have not tried the fire starter
I realize it’s only $8 ... but how is this so highly rated?! 1. The compass doesn’t point north (and I’m not Jack Sparrow) 2. Uncomfortably tight 3. The clasp that holds it together will not last long, unless I never take it off ever. The blade seems good and I have not tried the fire starter.

excellant
I is the best ive seen. just don't get the knife wet or use it other than in emergency. The steel is great for campfire starter is sharp, but the sharp knife will rust quickly if it gets used. retaine for emergency blade will go dull if used much at all as. It goes making it useless tp prsnct ess dull use for emergency not practice. if you want practice foctiss and keep one in for real need , not praticitise

Forget the boring old regular paracord, go for the survival bracelet.
I have a few different paracord bracelets, I like to go camping and hiking, and I like to be prepared. This one is only a few dollars more than the plain boring ones. It comes with a decent compass, a tiny flint, a whistle and a blade. The blade is small, but having just gotten it, im super satisfied that it could make the difference in an emergency situation. The flint is tiny AF but could get the job done with enough will and effort, the whistle is solid. the blade is tiny but can cut. Why spend 4 $ on a plain paracord when you can spend 8 and get an upgraded one? Recommending it to my friends, happy with the price and what I got. My previous bracelets have been relegated to secondary positions. Don't think about it do it. It might only come in handy that one time, but it will be worth it.

Overall great
This item is great, when it was new. The small knife was very useful to have on me at all times without having to carry a pocket knife. Its surprising how often it was used because it was on me.I only docked one star because after a few weeks of constant wearing (and taking off at night) the clip holding it together is loose. Now it will just fall off every so often.

Known for buyin slightly off the wall gifts at Christmas
I have a reputation within the family of buying all the guys slightly offbeat, but usable specialty gifts for Christmas. This year as I perused Amazon for something to maintain my reputation, I stumbled across your RNS STAR Paracord Survival Bracelet 500 LB. Thank you very much for helping me come through once again. They all applauded me!! THANKS

Great band for great price.
Really for the price, NTB! I tested the whistle, LAF! Blade is well sharpened. IMO, well worth it.
