Ok for very light work
This is a small, flimsy, lightweight machine. It looks pretty and makes a nicely balanced stitch. The buttonhole feature did not work properly on my machine. The threading is simple, but lack of space makes the thread guide above the needle difficult to access. The manual is ok but the pictures are for a different but similar model. It has a helpful guide of what the machine can handle. I would use it for light mending, or block piecing. It will not do jeans hems. The needle will flex but not penetrate the fabric.

Good for kids
This is a nice little beginning sewing machine. It will be perfect for this fabric store owner to pass among the grandchildren as they learn how to sew. The compact size is great to learn on and easy to transport. The machine does sew even stitches. Everything is a little tight, of course, due to the size, so I wouldn't do large projects on this. But it's a perfect beginner machine as you learn how to use a sewing machine. Also would not recommend using for heavier fabrics like denim. Overall for the price, the quality is as expected and I think it's a good value.

Useful small machine for sewing tasks
My wife wanted a small sewing machine for quick fixes and simple projects, and this one has been a good fit for her needs. It’s lightweight and doesn’t take up much space, which is great since she usually sews at the dining table. Setting it up was straightforward, but threading the needle took a bit of trial and error at first. Once she got the hang of it, the machine ran smoothly. The foot pedal helps with speed control, and the built in LED light is useful, though it could be a little brighterr. She has used it to hem jeans, repair a pillowcase, and sew a small fabric bag. It stitches well on most fabrics, but for thicker materials like denim, she has to go slowly and guide it carefully to keep the stitches even. It’s not as powerful as a full size machine, but for small household repairs and light sewing projects, it does the job. A handy little machine, as long as you don’t expect it to handle heavy duty tasks.

Great
A compact and user-friendly sewing machine, great for beginners with its simple controls and built-in stitches. It’s perfect for small projects, though it may struggle with thicker fabrics. Good quality

Works in a pinch
I'm not a beginner but I'm not an expert... I'll keep it for a backup at least for now. I got it for a backup and to use upstairs at my kitchen table when I want to sew and be a part of my household activities, rather than in my home office/sewing room...I used it to piece together a 6" quilt block with lots of small pieces. I got so frustrated from the thread that's included snapping and/or it coming unthreaded that I gave up and eventually switched to my regular machine. First the thread they include is more like a loose cotton cord versus a nice tight thread. I have a lot of 100% cotton thread and this is like yarn.I ended up cutting all new fabric and starting totally over on the quilt block because they were stitched so poorly...I decided to try a different thread. While they include extra bobbins, they are pre-wound with black and white thread, the same as the spools they include. Luckily, it takes a METAL class 15 bobbin, there's no mention of the bobbin size in the instruction book, but it does say to use metal so that the magnets will tension it properly. I use Singer class 15 bobbins, and already had one wound with the polyester thread I chose to give it a second chance with.It does NOT fit a standard thread spool, see photo. I was able to balance it on the spool on top of the machine. It also comes with a double spool holder for the double needle but I didn't try that out with the double needle it has. I had enough trouble keeping it threaded with a single thread...The polyester thread helped a lot, so did adjusting the tension. In general, the baseline tension is 5, for this machine it's 4. Note, that's what I learned at least from the machine I received, others may be different. I don't believe they will be consistent at all between sewing machines based on my next experience.I tested every single stitch, with several rounds of thread breaking because it was more than the machine could do on the LOW setting. Like another reviewer, I found it easier to use the switch than the foot pedal... The motor isn't smooth and the pedal is so small, it's hard to keep it a consistent speed. At least with the switch it stays a consistent speed. My machine is geared incorrectly with the stitch selection knob, it's off by one stitch. Stitch 1 is really Stitch 2 and so on... I need to use a Sharpie and renumber my settings... 16-3 (straight stitches for my machine) worked OK, there are a few inconsistent stitch lengths here and there, but not enough to be an issue. None are really long enough to be a basting stitch. The next few stitches (5-8 for correct-geared machines) are rife with issues. They are misshaped and inconsistent, despite using the switch for an even speed. That's unacceptable. 9-10 are oddly inconsistent and tiny. 11-12 were identical and jammed up near the end, I presume these are for buttons. #13 Zig zag was perfect, 14 jammed up and broke, then was inconsistent, 15 was a mess and 16, was good for a wide zig zag.So out of 16 stitches, only a handful worked properly or close to properly. For a beginner, I would be super frustrated with this machine and it would probably put me off from sewing totally, beyond mending. I considered giving it to my neighbor's daughter that's 8, but honestly I didn't want to give her a poor experience and hate sewing because of it. As I said in my title, it works in a pinch... But I wouldn't use it for more than mending or simple straight stitches.Save yourself some frustration, spend a little more and get a $100-$125 Singer Simple machine or similar Brother or Janome. This isn't worth the trouble and inconsistencies.

Sews great!
The media could not be loaded. This multifunctional electric sewing machine is great. It has 16 built-in stitches. I tried some of the different stitches. The ones I tried worked well. The foot pedal is kind of lightweight, but there is a button on the machine that works great. You can turn it on slowly or faster. Right above it is the reverse button. Both of these buttons work great, so while I tried out the foot pedal, I preferred the buttons on the machine. The sewing machine is lightweight and compact, making it easy to move and store. The stitches are even and secure. It has everything you need to sew. It is a great little sewing machine.
