High quality, wide jaws, strong springs, holds firmly on plywood surfaces
I make extensive use of plywood when I am building shelves and cabinets. Instead of using cheap, iron-on veneer to conceal the edges, I cut my own wood strips and glue them on. I need a reliable method for firmly holding the glued strips to the edge of the plywood while they dry. That why I got these clamps. What I Likeo Large size clamps. Will work with any project i have.o Wide jaws. Won't slip.o Strong springs. Think grip exerciser.o Four clamps included -- enough to clamp an entire edge of a board.o Red color makes locating them easy. This is a high quality set of four clamps that are perfect for edge gluing plywood veneers. The springs are strong, the jaws are wide and they hold firmly.

great clamps
The spring force on these clamps is pretty strong. If I was holding a workpiece together, I would have a little trouble being able to open the clamp with one hand and position it on the workpiece. With that being said, these are very robustly built. I like that the jaws are pivotable to accommodate non-flat surfaces and the clamps are plastic so they shouldn't mar any surfaces. The red color is actually something I like because it helps clumsy people like me avoid accidentally hitting them while they're holding a workpiece.

If you can squeeze them open, they will hold your edge banding on.
Edge Band Spring Clamp - Home Improvement Hand Tools - Adjustable Band Clamps for Woodworking, Carpentry & More - Set of 4Wowzee these clamps are strong. I mean I can’t crack walnuts with my bare hands but I’m not a weakling either. It takes a strong grip to open these. The table I have them clamped to in the photo is smooth veneer on both sides and these clamps don’t move even when I push on them. They will hold some edge banding on your plywood while you iron.

Excellent Edge Spring Clamp - Lousy Veneer Clamp
These ABS plastic spring clamps are so powerful that my strong wife required two hands to open them. The soft silicon rubber faces cling tenaciously and will not mar surfaces and open wide enough to clamp 1.5”.The problem is the silicone strap is so thick and stiff, it can’t evenly compress a thick ripped veneer strip flat to an edge, while glue dries. (see photo) Today most woodworkers use thin, iron on veneer edge strips that are pinned in place, while being ironed and later trimmed with a knife. So I plan to remove the straps and use these as excellent edge spring clamps.

Big Strong clamp
These clamps are stout and strong. I really like the edge band feature. Many of the other edge clamps I have used seem to be more concerned about holding the edge piece in desired position and alignment. The strength and capacity of these hold it all snug and tight. (Better have a strong hand in order to open them up). Good value for a great solution.

Very strong clamps
These are some really nice clamps. Very strong, took two hands to open them the first time. The captive rubber strap grips the edge very well and as you put pressure on it to hold a band piece in place, it is not gonna slide off. Great grip and a set of 4 should allow you to hold mostly bands edge boards securely in place.

Very handy for edge banding
These clamps work great for edge banding plywood. The spring clamps are easy to use and the band across the jaws puts enough pressure on the edge banding that there are no gaps and the edge banding looks seamless. These are easy to use and very functional. I would recommend these for the woodworker in your life!

Serious clamp
These are some strong clamps. I need two hands to keep the clamps open for 10 seconds. Going to be great to hold down tarps on my trailer.
