Bath tub grab bar install project
Summary: Adding a few grab bars to dad's shower. I used a lot of products for this project, so including all related products in this review.Recommendation:1) When mounting grab bars, it's always easier if you can find the stud to attach to. In this vertical install, I decided to use a stud and Wing-Its anchors; partially because I wasn't sure I could hit both, and didn't want to put two fasteners vertically (on either the right or left only), but that would also position the bar in the shower a little too far in (towards the shower control).2) The WingIts requires a 3/4" hole through the mounting material. For tile, this can be especially challenging. I used the SHDIATOOL diamond 3/4" bit, with the DRILLAX adapter to get through the tile, and then used the 3/4" BOSCH bit to finish through the dry wall. Also used the BOSCH bits for the other small hole. Having the right tool for the job is the difference between project completion, and a messy, disaster.Related Products:Moen R8924P Home Care 24-Inch Concealed Screw Bath Safety Bathroom Grab Bar, Peened ~ $30Pros: Moen name, includes stainless screws.Cons: None. Conclusion: 5-starshttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001EI0TJ4Structural Grab Bar WingIts, PK2 ~ $14Pros: Heavy duty, highly rated.Cons: Cost ($7/anchor).Conclusion: 4-stars (cost)https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004CCRJWOSHDIATOOL Diamond Core Drill Bits 3/4 Inch ~ $13Pros: Right tool for the job, looked brand new after drilling two holes (with proper technique, including cool water).Cons: None. Conclusion: 5-starshttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07213KCN9Drilax Core Drill Bit Arbor Adapter ~ $15Pros: Allows SHDIATOOL bit to be used with drill (instead of angle grinder).Cons: Cost (a little expensive). Conclusion: 4-stars (cost)https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0737H7CMXBOSCH GT3000 Carbide Hammer Drill Bit Set ~ $25Pros: Cuts great; carrying case.Cons: None. Conclusion: 5-starshttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001GNC8RS

Cut through 3/4” porcelain paver
Everything I needed, everything I asked for to core 3/4” porcelain pavers to add a wrought iron fence. I had to drill 15 holes to insert a 1/2” threaded rod and anchor plate to weld a wrought iron fence to our patio. I thought it would take all day and a dozen bits to drill the holes. The Shdiatool coring bit cut each hole in about 10 minutes. Each bit cut three to four holes. These bits are so affordable I could have used more bits and cut the holes faster just to save time. Time is money. I took my time, used a squirt bottle to add water. Each hole had a clean smooth edge. I’m amazed these bits cut through porcelain with ease. Great product at a great price.

Works good but drilled dust stuck inside.
I am happy with the product normally and it did its job. However, when you use it with water, dust from the drilled hole become solid and stuck inside of the item. Taking out that piece took longer than drilling. Side hole was not enough to take that solid dust part from inside. Unfortunately, I had to go to nearby store and purchase more expensive Milwaukee brand. It seems more weak but did better job.

Great but only used it for 1 hole
Had to make a hole for shower mixer valve and it worked fairly well. I did have to create a guide for it with a piece of plywood cutting out a 2 inch diameter hole using wood hole saw to use as a guide as this one does not have guide. It did a pretty good job. Use a little bit of water to keep the dust down. Not sure how long it will last but for my project it worked well.

Cut through a brick wall beautifully.
I tried a carbide tipped core bit to cut a hole in a brick wall for a MrCool line set. It failed. So I ordered one of these and it cut beautifully through in a few minutes. I had to stop about halfway through to chisel out brick as the diamond core bit didn’t have the full depth needed. I’m very pleased with this product.

Good value and worked well
It worked very well for drilling a hole in my granite countertop for an RO faucet installation. It cut through quickly and cleanly. I cooled it with water while drilling. I used my angle grinder to drive the bit. I only drilled ONE hole, so I can't say how it will hold up in the long run, but it looks to be in very good shape. I suspect that it would last a long time. For my use, it was a very good value for the money since this seems to be a professional tool and was significantly less expensive than the diamond drills that were available at the "big box" stores.

Pas de niaisage, c’est super efficace. Perce la céramique/porcelaine la plus dur sans difficulté. Pour augmenté la longévité, il faut la trempé dans un verre d’eau au 20 secondes
