I bought this because I use Strava, Google Fit and Samsung Health to track my biking workouts. Before, I would keep my phone in my pocket and listen to instructions through my bluetooth headphones. If I received calls, it was hard to stop riding or answer from my watch. I looked at few different models that seem to do the same thing. They strap your phone down and hold into place with rubber bungees,etc;. The thing I liked about WixGear is the magnetic mount. It comes with metal plates than can either be attached via adhesive backing or you can slide the plate in between your case and phone. I opted for placing the plate between by case and phone. I don't particularly adding things to the surface of my phone. It works perfectly....I can quickly snap my phone into place attach the bungees and I'm off. I also love how adjustable it is. When I'm riding and the sun is obscuring my view of the phone, I can easily tilt it or adjust to my liking quickly while riding. Super simple to install on my bike which right now has these weird drop bar shifters that take up a lot of the real estate but the mount fits in well. I plan to upgrade the shifters to combo shifters freeing up some space. Right now this was an excellent purchase for my bike.

This is a great phone mount with one big flaw. DURABILITY First off I have two phones Galaxy Note 9 and the Galaxy fold 4.. recently sold both of my Galaxy Note 9s back to Samsung got a huge credit and got the fold 4 WASN'T CHANGING UNLESS PHONES REALLY HAD A BIG CHANGE WOW SAMSUNG DID IT AGAIN!! I just waited for the full to be out for a few years to refine itself. Could have used my note 9 for a long time until the thing broke. I am a magnet guy quick and easy. Every one of my cases I put a metal plate on the outside of it never on the inside of the case because if you drop your phone the pressure from that metal plate will crack the back of your phone don't put it on the inside!! This type of magnet even with my Galaxy Note 9 I also use on my truck and in my car.. holds it so strong no matter what bumps I go over I don't even need elastics. So quick and easy with the magnet it's great can't beat it I don't care about wireless charging.. never had a problem with my note 9 charging port. I now use this for my Galaxy fold 4 The biggest problem with this THE SWIVEL PART THAT YOU TURN TO STOP THE PHONE FROM SWIVELING THE LITTLE SCREW THING IS A PIECE OF JUNK AND CRACKED!! Broke very easy so luckily I had other phone mounts lying around that have that piece I found one that fit that was much more durable.. It really is a shame. In order to get the phone to stop and tilting you got to turn it pretty tight that causes it to crack. I use it now for my Galaxy fold 4 on my G-FORCE T42 ELECTRIC THAT IS THE BEST FOR THE MONEY! It works fantastic! And guess what along with the magnet I always use the elastic and it actually fits my fold 4 UNFOLDED!!! WOW!! The only problem is it pulls on it pretty hard so it kind of pulls the fold back a little bit but the hinge is supposedly indestructible so I don't think the pressure will hurt it I'm currently looking for other elastics so would put less pressure. If you have the fold for and you want to actually fold it it works perfectly also!! Inner screen or outer screen. ON THE CONVENIENCE OF THE MAGNET THING MAN!! SO QUICK AND EASY GET IN AND OUT OF MY CAR, MY TRUCK, ON MY BIKE STICKS AND IT STAYS STUCK STUCK!! :)

Man, this thing is sturdy! Once you get your phone in there, it is staying there. I also like that there is a magnet - this is useful to me in my application (golf; see below). But I have a couple of aspects that you should know before you buy. 1. The silicon bands seem to be designed for a phone smaller than mine. My phone is about 3 1/8 x 6 1/2 inches (including the heavy duty case). It is really hard to get the band attached, and I worry that the holding force one the phone might bend the phone backwards (or break it!). 2. If you need to move this holder from one vehicle to another, you have to completely remove the attachment bolt. My use case is golf. When I walk, I attach it to my push cart handle. This is really nice because the magnet is strong enough to hold my phone in place without the bands. When I use a riding cart, I attach it to the frame. The bands are necessary here. But, alas, the very first time out I left it on the cart. I sat straight up in bed in the middle of the next night, realizing what I had done (Doh!!) and wrote an email to the groundskeeper (he nabbed it for me). Is this the best one that Amazon sells? No idea. But it works great. I just wish they shipped it with a variety of band sizes.

Truthfully I got this so I could play Pokemon Go while biking without being a danger to myself and others. It works awesome for this use! The magnet is strong enough for a regular ride that I don't use the elastic mesh, so if I need to take it off and do something quickly, I just grab it off the magnet. It would also be awesome if you have a long bike commute, need to use a maps app to navigate on your bike, or just want quick access to your phone without having pockets or a bag. Great product, nice price, overall quite happy!

I did not buy this for a motorcycle or bicycle but after seeing it and how sturdy it is, I definitely would. I am a photographer and, on occasion, use my smartphone to operate my DSLR camera. The camera is typically mounted on a tripod and is connected to the phone via a USB cable. Rather than having the phone just dangle from the camera, I needed a way to secure the phone to the tripod. This holder is perfect! I mounted it easily to one of the tripod legs. The angle adjustability on the holder makes it very convenient to control my camera. If there are other photographers trying to solve this same issue, I would highly recommend this holder.

Ultimately a 2.5 star product. The magnet works - sort of. It works on the magnets that come one the case. It does not work well on a phone case that is magnetic. The base is only one size and does not come with additional grip padding to fit on a bike. The stretchy lock is meant for smaller phones than a Google pixel 9a in a case. The stretchy thing was maxed out when I attempted to attach it to the phone. I like the concept, but it does not meet my needs.

I have a Moto Z4 with a battery mod on the back, so it's on the heavier side of a phone that you'd put on this. The magnet is probably strong enough to hold the phone on its own, but the rubber straps give a good sense of security. This is especially important because the ball joint isn't strong/tight enough to keep the phone in position on rough roads. Normal smooth biking everything is fine, but if I'm moving fast hit a bump the phone often tips forward. It's not a deal breaker...just a little annoying. I think lighter phones wouldn't have this problem
