GAMSOL DOES WONDERFUL, CREATIVE EFFECTS WHEN I ADD COLORS TO THE GAMSOL OIL COLOR. I HAVE USED GAMSOL MANY TIMES BECAUSE I AM PLEASED WITH THE EFFECTS.

This stuff is expensive, but it is really good! I'm an artist.

It you want mineral spirits to clean bushes or paint, Gamblin Gamsol is odorless, unlike turpentine.

love this stuff. as described. works great as a brush cleaner and wash effect.

Very good quality.

I use this for blending oil pastels, Shiva oil sticks, color pencils, and wax crayons. It works beautifully, doesn't leave a super-greasy film, and doesn't have a scent. However, I can pick up a hint of *something* when I use it- just sort of a vapor that isn't pure (that sounds ridiculous but I'm trying to articulate it). For those with sensitivities to chemicals, this seems much less toxic than most, but there's still *something* that may cause issues. However, it's a lot less noxious than other substances I use in my work (including isopropyl alcohol) and it works very well and quickly, so I don't have prolonged exposure. Evaporates quickly, as well, so while it does leave oily residue on porous surfaces, it does go away leaving just the medium. It also works great for getting adhesive off things.

The Gamsol arrived on time and in excellent condition. It was securely wrapped. I’ve not yet opened it, but assume it is in its usual excellent shape!

You can use any number of things to thin Oil Paints, but this is the best for a good reason. It doesn't stink up your studio, it works fast, consistent, and it's clean. Came fast, well packaged and I say it's well worth the price for anyone who uses oil paints!

最高の筆洗液です。同社の galkyd, あるいは galkyd lite, または Windsor＆ Newton の liquin などに最大 1:1 の比率まで混ぜると、素晴らしいペインチングオイル/薄め液ができます(それ以上混ぜると、絵の具の接着力が崩れてくるそうです)。従来のターペンタイン(テレピン)のようにネバネバしてくる問題がありませんので、スラスラ快適に描けます。ターペンタイン同様、あるいはそれ以上に、濁った液はフタをして放置すると、絵の具が沈澱して、再び清んだ液はまた使えます。清まなくなるまで使い続けられます。アメリカで15年愛用してましたが、日本では手に入りがたく、苦労してました。無臭で比較的無害ですが、アトリエに新鮮な酸素を取り入れるため、一日一度はしっかり換気してます。Gamblin の商品は、社長／開発者の Robert Gamblin さん本人が画家で元アート保護論者なので、大変優れてます。英語ができる方は、メールや電話で質問をすると、丁寧に返答してくれます。

『臭いが強い』などと書いてる人がいますが、 私は臭いは全く気になりません。 無臭です。 この商品でさえ臭いが気になるほどの敏感な方は油絵自体やれないと思います。 臭いに関しては全く問題ありませんが、 容器には難があり、蓋が物凄く開けにくいです。 あと、瓶のボトルだと思っていたのですがペットボトルだったので驚きました。 普通、日本製の揮発性油でしたらプラ容器などでは割れてしまうので全て瓶製のボトルに入っていますが、 こちらはたぶん本当に水に近い状態まで精製しているんでしょうね。 まだ絵の具には使っていないので絵を描く際の使い心地は判りませんが、 臭いも含めた "体に対する害" に関しては、 日本製の普通の揮発性油よりだいぶマシである事は確かだと思います。 おそらく元々アレルギー体質だからなのか、 特に揮発性油で体に悪い影響が出やすいので（頭痛や耳鳴りなど）、 もし絵を描く面でも普通のペトロール等のように使えるようなら、 国産ブランドに比べてかなり割高にはなりますが、 こちらを使い続けようと思います。 もし健康を害してしまったら、 結局この溶剤を買うより高くついてしまうので。

毒性は低いですが匂いは強めです。無臭感はないですね。
