Works great as designed
The media could not be loaded. This X-Zone Pet 3-Door Folding soft sided pet carrier has been renamed by us as the cat RV. I purchased this pet carrier for a dog but my 12 year old cat totally enjoyed it. She hates the hard sided carrier and begins crying right away. This carrier was soft and she did not cry or fight going into it. She’s a cat so she has the right to change her mind later. For now she likes it. As the human person serving this descendant of an ancient line of felines - This is one of the few Amazon products that I would buy again and rcomm nd to friends and family. Please read the other reviews to see what can go wrong with this product. Although well-made - an aggressive attack on the fabric can destroy it quickly. My cats have sharp claws and could destroy the fabric netting. Two zippers that meet together can be pushed apart. My cats and Westie mix dog are not aggressive towards carriers - we stopped that behavior early - but in an unknown environment they would be able to rip their way out of this carrier. As for my situation - this carrier is great. This is what I like:1) The weight is about the same as my hard sided carrier but has more height. My 15 pound cat can stand in it. I recommend going with a larger carrier rather than smaller. It’s worth the money. 2) Lots of ventilation from mesh windows on all sides. The cat feels protected yet able to see out - this is very important to cats. 3) The faux fur floor is very soft and strong. My pets like soft things to lay on. 4) Extra outside pockets to carry items like treats - food - and more. 5) Top door - I needed that feature for my 3 legged cat who becomes all claws when trying to put her into a carrier. I have used a carrier with a top door for years and found it to save my skin from scratches. When the feet go in first their instinct is to put their paws down. Oh yeah! Paws down is great. If they cling with claws to the carrier - that’s a real skin saver and I know how to quickly unlatch their claws and feed the claws into the carrier so instinct takes over. Don’t fiddle with the zipper. Just zip and be done with it. The zippers were great. 6) the front door is spacious and rolls up then secured by a built in sticky loop tape. 7) The edges and corners are securely reinforced. 8) An interesting design feature keeps the carrier from collapsing upon itself. 9) The soft sided pet carrier folds flat to about 2 or 3 inches and has latches to hold it firmly for carrying or storage. 10) I don’t think this carrier is good for a pet being shipped like cargo on a plane but it could be placed inside of a larger hard sided carrier for a softer ride or stored in your luggage for use when you reach your destination. It is great for travel by car, van, truck, RV etc because it folds flat when you don’t need it. I am glad I purchased the larger size. Thank you to everyone who wrote a review on this product - even the negative reviews because a customer who buys and gets what is expected is a happier customer. I always know that a company values the customer when the seller includes a note telling you that they appreciate you as a customer. They don’t have to show the courtesy but when they do, the signal is sent that they care about their product. This is fabric canvas and mesh screen so it can get soiled and wet. For my situation this is not a negative but should be considered if pets soil the carrier. I hope you find the real life photos and video helpful.

I want to make sure he is both safe and a good guest. With all of the background you didn't ...
This is the first soft crate I have purchased. I have a wire crate that can be divided for a puppy to mature dog, a solid crate and now the soft crate. My first large dog was a standard poodle and because he was alone during the day, the crate was needed longer, not his fault, ours. Subsequently, I have had two Portuguese Water Dogs, who needed a crate only through a short period of puppy life. My most recent Portie passed away at 13.5 just before Christmas, which was a difficult loss for me. Since it's been awhile since I had a puppy, I am trying to be prepared for whatever I need to. So, knowing that my pup will visit friends and travel with me, I want to make sure he is both safe and a good guest. With all of the background you didn't need to know, I just received the crate and put it together. It was 3 minutes to set up and is wonderfully made. Quality is superb and visibility for the pet is great. The pup can enter both front and side and the pockets are a nice feature. It folds easily for transport and has a carry handle that once I tried it works incredibly well. This will be perfect for trips to visit friends. Can't wait to introduce Asher, my new boy when he comes next week. Good choice for anyone who wants all of the right things in a crate!

Check your dog's measurements before buying
I have a German Shepherd and I purchased the 36" crate. The size inside was good and she fit well enough in the length and width. The height was a little too short for her. She mostly lays down in the car, so it wasn't a big deal -- except that she had to duck to get out of the crate. If the flaps on the side could have gone up about 2 inches more it would have been fine. But my dog didn't like it touching her back as she tried to get out of the crate and started to refuse to go in it. So I returned this one and got one that was taller. That said, the crate was easy to set up and take down. It looked like it was built well enough. I liked the bags on the side, which I use to hold a towel, a water bowl, treats, poop bags, etc. I really like that it has 3 doors. We use this crate mostly in my car which requires the wide opening. But I also use this crate to take to agility competitions and on vacation, so it's really nice to have the flexibility of turning the crate whichever way I need to. I also liked the large amount of mesh on the non-zippered sides of the crate because it helps with airflow, especially in the car.

Great for travel with a cat.
Used this for 12 hour move with a cat. Perfect. Room for blanket, little cat bed, and cat litter pan.The cover on the pad on the bottom doesnt come off for easy cleaning.EASY access to fill water/food bowls and clean litter pan on two zippered sides.Top zippered access wasn't used, but I can see how it would be handy.Light weight and easy for female to carry and load in SUV (without litter pan).Cat stayed in the crate/close to the crate as their safety-nest for a week after the move.Highly recommend. We used for one cat (with litter box). Two cats (especially to keep each other company) would be fine too.

Very sturdy foldable crate for a medium to large dog or two smaller dogs. I bought this to use in the car but it sits a bit high for the backseat, its a better choice for the cargo area of an SUV. The bed inside is very soft and my dogs really liked the feel of it. Would be a great crate for sleeping or day training at home. Very happy with the make and quality of this product.

Good value, easy use
I love this crate. It's easily folded and transported. My pup has used it now for about 2 months and I'd say it's a good investment for housebreaking, sleeping, and travel crating at location. I would not suggest this be used unsupervised or with a dog not yet accepting of crating. My only issue was that the shoulder strap became dislodged the first time I tried it and it now just hangs useless. Otherwise, the durability is as expected. It is a decent size, but don't expect a full grown med/large breed to continue to use it comfortably. I got the larger size and my 7 month old standard poodle will outgrow it soon.
