It does the job
The Samsung T7 does fit. The area in which it fits is a lot bigger. However the elastic holds in it place. Then both cables fit in the other side nicely.

Great for travel
Fits the 4TB T7 shield perfectly and gives me peace of mind when shooting on the road. I like that it keeps the cable together with the device also. I used a similar product for larger sized seagate drives with success so once I went to SSD I knew it would be perfect.
