Very effective and does not leave any stain
I read the other reviews of this product before I was convinced to purchase it. I have read that others even used this gel on themselves to test the effectivity. I did! Well, of course my dog has benefitted immensely with this gel. My Millie is not limping anymore and seems to be walking just fine after few days of application.Few days ago, I had a painful ankle. I am not sure if it was sprain or just my uric acid kicking in. But I decided to take that opportunity to try it to myself and see if it would work. Oh my! It did. I didn't even have to skip work the next day because of this gel.I also like that it is unscented with very clear gel-like consistency. It's so easy to apply topically. My dog didn't mind at all. And when I applied some on my ankle, there was a slight cool sensation. It's not greasy and does not leave any greasy after feel.I like this gel a lot because it works for both humans and dogs. I will certainly buy another one!

it does work
This stuff smells horrid, but the smell doesn't last too long thank heavens. It does work well. Helps heal fast. I have used it on my dogs scrapes and scaly bumpy skin and it works fast so they feel better and heal.

The three stars only mean that the progression of my pup's healing is not completed. However it seems to be doing the job. He had a round crusty sore on the top of his head. I cleaned it with mild soap and water, gently removed the crust which also removed the hair leaving a red bald spot.Using the skin treatment, the redness is gone and his hair is coming back. I have used it three times daily for several days. I would say it is working and has saved me time and money taking him to the vet.I will be able to give a more thorough evaluation in a couple more weeks.p,s, the crusty round spot was the size of a quarter untreated and now with treatment it is between a nickle and a dime, no more crust or redness. Thanks

Disappointing
I had high expectations for this product. My 14 year old chi has serious arthritis and I was hoping a massage with this would help her find her get up and go -- she didn't like the smell and I'm not sure if it didn't sting her a little bit.

Excellent product
My dog had red, itchy spots inside his hind legs and on his belly that kept getting larger. At first I thought maybe it was a food allergy even though I hadn't changed his diet and tried some different food as well as no treats. This didn't help. Also tried applying coconut oil and that didn't help. Did some research and realized it could be a yeast infection so I decided to try this topical gel. I was surprised at the immediate results. The inflammation and itching went away with first application. After 4 applications, his skin appears to be normal and he's no longer itching. With the other remedies, he didn't want to sit still for the application. This morning (third day), he laid back and let me rub this all over the area. He looked like he was enjoying it! I highly recommend this product. I'm going to try some others in this line to keep my dogs happy and healthy.

Good for hard to treat hotspots
Okay, just when I thought I had everything to cover skin conditions in dogs, my mastiff gets a hotspot on the side of her face and none of my other products worked. For those who haven't dealt with hotspots on big mastiffs, they are not the most cooperative of breeds sometimes and are known for being stubborn. The best way to treat a hotspot is the shave it, but getting clippers close to my mastiff's face was not an option for her. (FYI a visit to the vet for a hotspot can be $80 to $120 depending). What made me buy this is that I wanted something that would stay on the hotspot without running off. This is a salve and it works really well. I would spray the area with alcohol or peroxide, wait a bit for it to get the surface infection out, then wipe down the hotspot and apply Rickys to it. It took about four days but her hotspot is definitely disappearing. So I am a fan of Rickys since it saved me a $100 visit to the vet.
