My wife and I bought TORRAS cases for our iphone 15 pro max and iphone 16 pro max (always get the max). We studied the different cases carefully given the cost of these phones. In both cases, we bought the clear variety of each model because the sides are a little softer for a better grip and the clear allowed the beautiful titanium color to show through. The model for the 16 pro max was a little different in that it has the cutoff for new camera control button and has the rotating ring. Before that I bought the gray cover with the non-rotating ring but sent it back because my wife convinced me that the clear was better (and she is always right, as usual). Because I had/have both types of ring cases for the 16 pro max, I could compare them. The case with the non-rotatable ring was gray and a clear version was not offered with the non-rotatable ring, which is why I went with the rotating ring model. Aside from being clear, I found the sides of the clear case to be slightly softer and thus easier to grip. Both types of rings work well with the rotatable ring have a slight advantage and seems, since newer, to have a slight better design. Aside from rings being useful as a stand, they are equally useful and a grip somewhat similar to a pop-socket which my wife has and loves. The problem with the pop-socket that the ring solves is that with the ring, you can still use mag safe batteries, chargers, wallets, etc. This is huge advantage for the ring but the pop-socket is stronger and is useful as a "hook" for some accessories. With respect to either the rotable ring and the original ring, both are of an excellent design and work perfectly but, as some have mentioned, are kind of delicate so if you are someone who tends to be a little bought with your stuff, this could be a problem or have large hands maybe. Having to be a little careful with the ring is not a problem for me. Having said that the main "problem" with the ring is when using a mag safe accessory with a strong magnet, like a charger, is that you have to be careful, when removing the mag safe accessory, to slide it off the back of the phone, not pull it off. If you just pull it off, it will tend to take the ring with it and maybe if you are not careful, yank the ring off the case (although I found the rotatable ring to be a little better on this issue, but you still have to be careful). To prevent this problem, TORRAS would have to have a little clip to lock the ring down so it doesn't get yanked off when removing a mag safe accessory. You just have to remember to slide it down to remove the mag safe accessory, not pull it off. Not a super big deal since sliding the accessory off would quickly become the habit after a while. The other minor issue is that there is only a cutout for the camera control button, unlike some cases, like the Apple case, which have a special solid connection. The cutoff is OK but I wish it was a little larger because if you don't have relatively small fingers, it is somewhat difficult to easily press or slide your finger on the "button" (you have to press harder, but only a bit). If the cutoff was a little larger maybe that would help. In my mind, it was a trade off of having the usefulness of the ring vs having just a cutout to access the camera control "button". Overall, I would definitely buy this clear TORRAS case with the rotating ring again. As a typical engineer, I tend to notice little design issues that could be easily fixed (although my wife would say the same about me).

Best iPhone case with kickstand that I've experienced (and I've had at least 5); The center position of the circular ring enables the kickstand to operate on surfaces that often result in the device tipping over where with other kickstands I've had would fall over when the kick stand is off-center, not this one. The ring smoothly glides in position, is sturdy, and seamlessly integrated into the case. The case works extremely well with my wireless chargers and magnetized mounting brackets. Although strong, and durable it like anything is subject to wear and tear, however TORRAS really stands by their warranty. To my surprise, when my stand failed after about 5 months of active use, I filed a claim and within less than a week received my replacement, and more importantly; timely responses from their service department. Had the warranty expired I would have strongly considered purchasing another one, because I enjoyed this case so much.

I had a small issue with this product after few months use so I reached out to their support team. TORRAS team responded quickly, confirmed that my product was still under warranty, and immediately arranged for a replacement.What really stood out to me was how easy and reassuring the whole process was. Many people hesitate to trust after-sales support, but TORRAS proves that great customer service still exists. The Torras Stand Case is a very nice case that will protect your phone, as well as provide a good kickstand via the integrated ring. I gave it four stars due to some minor flaws that Torras will hopefully improve. Overall, I would buy the case again, especially if my recommended improvements were incorporated into a new design.The Good- The rotating ring is the main selling feature of this case, and it is a nice feature. The ring rotates 360 degrees as advertised, allowing a convenient way to position your phone into either a portrait or landscape viewing angle. The ring pops out of the back of the case via a hinge on one side of the ring, and there is a cut-out/notch on the opposite side of the ring to create a "flat surface" so the ring can lay squarely on a surface. The ring is integrated into the back of the case, giving a flush surface on the back of the case. While this does make the case a bit thicker on its back, the case is not heavy or bulky. Further, the case is MagSafe compatible, and it locks on very well to all MagSafe attachments.- The case fits the phone securely; there is no risk of the phone popping out of the case. The back is made of plastic and the sides are made of a rubberized polymer material. This makes the case both lightweight and durable. The rubberized sides provide the cushion needed to absorb impacts, and there are very small/thin pads inside the lining of the case that provide some additional cushion. While I haven't dropped my phone on purpose, I feel confident that the case would protect the phone nicely.- The camera button cut-out for the Pro versions is just large enough for a comfortable with the button's touch sensor. There is just enough empty space around the button to allow your fingers to swipe through the different camera functions.The Not So Good- There is a little bit of "give" or "play" when the ring is out of its slot. In other words, the ring wobbles back and forth before it moves into a more secure position. This may not seem like a big deal, but it makes the phone unstable when using it in portrait mode. For example, when the ring is fully extended to put your phone into a fully upright portrait viewing angle, the phone will wobble back and forth. Further, when the ring is fully extended in this upright portrait mode, the ring cannot support the weight of the phone when you're tapping it, causing the phone to recline.- If you use MagSafe accessories such as a wallet or charger attachment, you may get frustrated when trying to remove them from this case. The ring is magnetic, and it will stay attached to the MagSafe accessory when trying to remove them, even after you have separated the accessory from the case. This could cause additional wear/tear on the ring, potentially bending the hinge or the ring itself.- The rubberized polymer siding of the case is a bit too smooth/slick, and it is relatively easy for the phone to slip out of your hands. The sides need a tackiness or physical resistance built into it in order to prevent slipping.- The bevel around the screen and camera lenses is not as high as I would like. The camera lens bevel barely eclipses the height of the lenses, and a display screen protector flattened out the height difference for the display bevel.The Bad- I have a non-magnetic charging stand where the phone sits in an upright wireless stand, and it will not charge the phone while it is in the case. The phone will charge on MagSafe chargers or on a flat, tabletop wireless charger... but for some reason, it will not charge on my upright, non-magnetic charging stand. I have other ways to charge my phone, so it’s not a big issue… but if you have an upright, non-magnetic charging stand, you may also encounter this problem.Overall OpinionI like this case a lot, and it does protect the phone while also providing a built-in stand that enhances the value of the case. It is annoying that it will not charge in my particular phone charger, but I can charge my phone in other ways so that it still usable. Overall, I'd recommend this case if you're looking for a built-in stand that allows for MagSafe functionality. Just know that you'll have complications with removing those MagSafe accessories, or even have difficulty charging your phone on certain wireless chargers.
