On point
I've only had this installed for a few days in mid 20s Temps, but so far it's held the temp I set with in 2 degrees easily. Will update when we get into colder Temps in the next couple weeks. App works fantastic for me.

Amazing!!!! ---In theory
This is such an incredible thing to keep your pets warm and happy and it's just awesome. My dogs personally think that MY bed belongs to them even though they are cold weather dogs but I love that things like this exist, especially for "those" people who insist on trying to call the police when your dog is covered in snow after 4 minutes but refuses to come inside... you know.Anyway - I got this all set up, pretty easy. It was overwhelming at first just because there are a lot of components to it but once I understood what everything was, it was a breeze. The only thing I couldn't get to work for me was the app which I wasn't too concerned about. This has been going strong for about a month before I decided to post this review. The second photo is what prompted it. I had the temperature set to a standard 74 degrees. The heater would turn on only when the interior temperature went below 74. It would heat up until reaching that target then turn off automatically. Beautiful. One day, I noticed that I hadn't heard the heater kick on at all. Which was unusual because between the temperature fluctuations (I live in CO) it's always turning on and off. I go and check the temperature reading (again, because I don't have the app) and see that apparently, it's 158 degrees inside. Pretty sure my dogs would be dead if it were in a dog house (I forgot to mention that this was inside my greenhouse).I check the heater itself to make sure nothing came loose or that anything broke - all perfectly intact. I have no idea what happened to it. The thermometer was just fine. I turned everything off, unplugged it and let it sit for a few days before trying it again. It's been working for about 2 days now but we're back to it not turning back on again so I have a feeling we'll see an astronomical temperature soon.

Great for a dog and people!
This has kept my outside dog really warm since it has been getting colder here. He really appreciates being able to just sit near something warm

Works great
This works fantastic. We actually used it for our cornish cross chickens when they got kicked out of the brooder at 2.5 weeks old but weren't quite feathered enough. It kept all of them plenty warm enough and we didn't lose a single chick even when some nights it dipped down into the high 30s and low 40s.

Design Flaws
Reason for return:The heater has significant design flaws. The temperature sensor is located on the back, where it measures the temperature of the wall, which is colder due to outdoor conditions. Additionally, the rear vent expels cold air, further affecting the sensor’s readings. The heated air never reaches the sensor, making the thermostat unable to measure or regulate the actual ambient temperature accurately. This design renders the heater inefficient and unsuitable for its intended purpose.

Works great
I actually got this to warm my ducks. It works great and I like that I can control it with the app so I can shut it off without having to go outside. Works perfectly.

500W doesn't output as much heat as a 1500W space heater, but it's safer
I got this to make my shed into a storage spot for overwintering my plants so I'm not using the timer function. However, the heat source is great and I really hope it lasts at least through this winter. If you are using it for an animal, keep it up out of reach so that you don't worry about sensitive noses getting toasted.Good heater, but low output due to low wattage.8/10

Packs a surprisingly big punch for a small unit! Near quiet heat for my chicken coop!
The media could not be loaded. This review evaluates the “300W Dog House Radiant Heater with Thermostat” made by PETNF.The product was shipped with no excessive or wasteful packaging. What’s in the box: one (1) 300W dog house radiant heater with thermostat, one (1) package of mounting screws, and installation instructions/owner’s manual.First impressions: Solid. Rugged. The heater is well built with good fit and finish; it comes pre-assembled and ready to mount. Its outer housing is made of decently thick steel and comes in a compact format. Installation is simple: screw a stand-off bracket to the wall at the desired location and hang the unit. The unit uses a ceramic positive-temperature-coefficient heating element (PTC) that uses a small but efficient fan in the back of the unit to draw air across the heated element and radiate the warmed air out the front of the unit. It has a built-in thermostat that automatically stops heating when the ambient temperature matches your set level, and then restarts if it drops 2℃ below the set target. The radiant heater has a 300W draw and can be plugged into a standard 110V AC outlet. There is an ON/OFF push switch on the power cord controller. The control panel is straightforward: ON/OFF and Temperature UP/DOWN buttons and an LCD temperature display (that can be set to display either °C or °F). The unit has an adjustable temperature range of 5-45°C (41-113°F). You can also adjust the heating time from 0 to 24 hours; the unit has built-in overheat protection. The 6ft electric cord is PVC vinyl-clad armored BX wiring with a two-prong plug. This type of wiring provides good protection from chewing, abrasion, etc. There's no CSA/UL safety certification for North American use on the lamp or power block and user beware there is legislation in some jurisdictions that disallow such uncertified products from being sold and used. While I understand that it is common practice in overseas products in this price range for manufacturers to cut costs, certifications are there for user safety to prevent electrocutions or fires from malfunctioning products. How did this product perform? Well, let’s just say I was actually impressed… I set up the heater on top of my workbench in my 1,000 sqft garage. The ambient temperature in my insulated garage was 19°C. I cranked up the panel to its maximum output of 45°F and I placed a small digital thermometer directly in front of the heater. Within 3 minutes it was 33°C in front of the unit and I could feel a comfortable warm stream of heat. I think this heater would provide plenty of heat and prevent freezing in a smaller, enclosed, and well-insulated area such as a doghouse or a good-sized chicken coop. My chicken coop is a 10x12 shed with 2x6 framing and an 8-foot ceiling. Its 120 sqft is R20 insulated all around including the floor. For a chicken coop, you don’t need to keep it more than 5-10°C so the low 300W heater easily does the trick.Right now it is the start of the fall season in Northern Ontario, Canada, and the temperatures are not that cold yet. Since I am evaluating this product as part of the Amazon Vine program, I am limited to a 30-day window to submit a review. To verify the durability of this product, I have to put it through the paces this winter and see how comfortable my girls are in the coop. I am evaluating this product as part of the Amazon Vine program so I am limited to a 30-day window to submit a review. To verify the durability of this product, I am going to monitor this product and its performance over the next 4-8 months of use and revise my review should problems arise.Cost-effectiveness and value: Overall I am very satisfied with this product, it is durable, compact, and delivers a decent amount of heat at a low current draw. At a current price of $139.99, I feel it is reasonable for the quality and functionality delivered should this heater prove its long-term durability. In summary: the “300W Dog House Radiant Heater with Thermostat” made by PETNF is well made and delivers a good amount of heat to warm small, well-insulated spaces. I would recommend this product without hesitation.Pros 👍:✔ Durable, steel housing.✔ Radiant ceramic PTC heating element.✔ Quiet, near-silent fan operation.✔ Large, easy-to-read backlit LCD screen on the controller.✔ Adjustable temperature range of 5-45°C (41-113°F).✔ Automatic power-off built-in overheat protection.✔ Low 300W power draw.✔ PVC vinyl-clad armored BX wiring to protect from chewing, abrasion, etc.✔ Easy to install, set up and use.✔ Automatic built-in thermostat.✔ Throws a decent amount of heat.Cons👎:✘ Not CSA/UL/ETL certified for use in Canada and the USA.✘ No light on the unit indicates power/heat is on, only on the controller.✘ The controller cannot be disconnected to facilitate running wires through a wall if you want the heater and the controller in separate areas.

Works great; the app is super easy; remote monitoring and control is fantastic.
This heater is very sturdy and well constructed. It is nice and compact but packs a big punch. While I initially thought I would use this for the doghouse, it occurred to me that it would also work well out at the cottage to keep our water lines and water pump and such from freezing over the winter.Previously, we had been leaving the propane fireplace on over the winter, but that is not ideal because the fireplace is in the living room quite a distance from the water pump and water lines, so we have had to keep the temperature set higher than we would have liked in order for the heat to reach the back of the cottage where it is needed. This means that we have been spending too much on propane over the winters even though the place has been empty. Now, we can use this heater which is small enough to place in the utility room at the back of the cottage where the water pump and other bits are, and which is also close to the kitchen and bathroom where the water lines run. We can set the temperature to keep things just above freezing, and we won't have to heat the rest of the cottage and waste propane in the process. We tested this out to see how well it works and everything works like a charm. The app was very easy to download and easy to set up. We are not really techy so we really liked the ease of that. Now we can control the heater according to the weather and from home, and we will not have to run the fireplace all winter at an unnecessarily high temperature. I don't know why we didn't think of this sooner but better late than never. :-)Since we are using this in the utility room, the cord length is perfectly fine and we really don't need the chew-proof protection, but if we decide to get another one for the doghouse, I would not have any issues at all with having to use an extension cord as we have outdoor cords for all sorts of purposes like Halloween decorations, various lights, VCRs and such for the kiddos when they're "camping" in their tents, etc., so it would not bother us any to use an extension cord for one more purpose. This really is a game-changer for remote heating for us. We will still have the propane fireplace on as backup in the event of a hydro outage but we can set the thermostat lower as it will only be for backup purposes. Best of all, we will be able to tell from home if this heater goes off, and that will give us plenty of time to pop out to the cottage to deal with any potential freezing issues that may arise. We will be able to go out and adjust the propane heat if necessary long before the water lines have a chance to freeze and cause a problem in the event of a hydro outage. This gives us a tremendous sense of relief and comfort for the upcoming winter. It can get very very cold out at the lake; colder than it is at the same time in the city, so this will allow us to ensure that we can stay on top of the conditions out there from the comfort of home. Like I said, this is truly a gamechanger for us. Definitely worth the price (currently $129 with a $20 coupon) -- we could not be happier with this!

Fairly quiet
I really like that this unit has a bracket that is attached to the wall first and then this can hang on that. It came with screws to attach with or sticky adhesive backed mount pads. I be using screws for sure. The power cord is mostly protected with metal so the cats can't chew it and that is good cuz one of them has a penchant for doing that. It is major heavy duty so built for outdoors. The control has a built in timer, yay!! It easily changes from F to C for us metric users.Instructions seemed straight forward, I found nothing confusing in them. I plugged it in to check out inside the house BEFORE installing it in the cat house. Heat was felt instantly and I was pleasantly surprised that it was not noisy, although you could tell it was on I'm betting we won't even notice it running if we are standing outside on the step, it is that quiet.

Heat my chicken coop!
At the time of writing this review, this pet house heater costs $149.98. There is currently a coupon for $20 off for a total discounted price of $129.98.My brother in law has chickens, two of which are ours, and they live outdoors year round. The heater they have is a bit weak and is just a basic heater. We want something more robust, with more features. Something that can tell us that it is working or not without having to go outside to check. This heater has every feature we want, and operates at temperatures we expect. The unit is not very big, which is good. It's small enough that it easily fits inside of the coop, and there's lot of clearance around it to make sure the heat is safely dissipated.Mounting is easy. From opening the box to having it full mounted and the temp probes installed, and running to cord took less than an hour, including clean up.The app (PetNF Smart | 1k downloads | No ratings) is pretty good. It's a bit amateurish by todays standards but it gets the job done. Syncing was easy and I had no issues. This is the biggest draw to this heater. Now I can see when and IF the heater is working. This is important because I want to know if the chickens are safe at all times. We have a redundant dumb heater on a smart switch that will kick in if we lose this one for whatever reason. The heat that comes out is very warm, bordering hot. It's a comforting heat like a warm fire, not a hot heat like an oven. It also heats up to max heat really fast, even in cold environments. The 2C temperature differential between on and off makes the temperature inside the coop moderate and comfortable.Overall a solid heater for any application, and the perfect heater for a medium to large size coop.5/5 stars.

Needs tweaking to use in a coop
I installed this heater in our chicken coop for the winter, but I have a couple issues with it.For starters, it juts from the wall a good 5 inches, and no self-respecting hen is going to resist trying to perch on something so inviting. I’m tempted to mount it to the slope of the coop ceiling, but there’s only a mounting bracket at the top. This heater has some weight to it, and I worry that it will bend the bracket over time, or be encouraged to fall by an airborne chicken. Ultimately, I think I’ll have to fabricate an awning to rest over top, which should also help keep dust off the top.The other problem I have with this heater is the cord. I would like to be able to pass the cord through the wall and have the controls on the outside, but the cable is hardwired to both the heater and the controller. The cord could stand to be longer, too, but that isn’t a dealbreaker. All problems aside, I’m happy with the heater itself. It puts out more heat than the hens will ever need, and the fan does a decent job of distributing heat. The controls are basic and intuitive, and the temperature sensor is functioning as it should, but I’ll still babysit it until I know it can handle deep cold.
