Use gloves
Brilliant stuff but you must wear protective gloves. I inadvertently got some on my fingers and almost glued them together. It does warn you on the packet so it was my own fault. Caught it before it set properly so take care. Brilliant stuff though.

An effective glue where other plastic glues fail
I was very glad to have found the product. You can successfully mend plastics (including toys with some flexibility) where simple super-glue just doesn't work. Its a two-part process, so you can't rush it - do read the instructions(!!!). The only criticism I have is that its very easy to leave traces of the main glue on the nozzle. That sticks the cap on firm and you'll never get it off. The remaining glue is then wasted. To be fair, it is in the instructions to wipe the nozzle clean, but if you're holding two broken bits together while trying not to glue on your fingers (thin rubber gloves maybe?), remembering to wipe the nozzle and put the glue tube cap back on isn't a priority. Perhaps doing this before holding the pieces to be glued together is the right approach..but its hard to remember to do all these things .. Anyway, its a great product, just take care!

So far so good - unexpectedly!
I bought this as the corner of my cat carrier had broken off after someone else dropped a heavy thing on it. In all honesty, given how hard some types of plastic are to glue together I was skeptical this would work at all.In fact, I don't know what trickery the magic pen part contains, but not only did the carrier repair well enough to surprise me (it feels pretty strong) I've also since fixed the clip of a fan my daughter has clipped on her bed and she hasn'tre-broken it. So 2/2 success so far. I will try and update if I find a plastic thing it doesn't fix or if my carrier disintegrates (don't worry - it was already safe to use without the missing corner, as was the fan)

Used it once then 2 weeks later unusable
It did exactly as it was supposed to gluing a broken door inside my freezer.I resealed it closing the screw on glue top and thought no more of it. Yesterday I needed to glue something ONLY to find that the dispensing tube was solid with glue. I tried clearing it with a pin without success, I then tried to remove the screw on lid to get some glue. In trying to force it off, the tube burst. I was able to collect some glue using a stick but now the tube has burst so it is useless.Suggest that you use all of it in one go or be ready to be disappointed.

Excellent stuff - saved me a heap of cash!!!!
I have used the Loctite Super Plastix many times and it has never failed to deliver. With just one of these uses it saved me nearly £30.00. How? Well, a plastic part inside my VCR (yes, I still have one of those!) broke which meant it would not rewind or fast-forward tapes. Checking out the part online for availability/price, I found it was only available from the U.S. and in total would have cost me about £30 delivered (perhaps more, if subjected to customs charges). As I am able to do my own repairs on such things, I did not have to factor in labour charges, but I won't even hazard a guess as to what the real total figure could have reached otherwise!!!I decided to try and glue the part using this stuff, but to be honest I was skeptical it would work. Even if it did, I thought it wouldn't last as the part that broke off is quite small and is constantly under pressure from a very powerful spring.I followed the instructions to the letter, glued the part back and reassembled the VCR's mechanism. I tested rewind/fast-forward and so far so good. We don't use the VCR much, so even if only lasted a few weeks/months it would have been better than expected. That was over 2 years ago!!! Rewind/FF on the VCR is still going strong. It seemed to 'melt' then 're-harden' the two pieces at the join, making it as good as-new.Amazing stuff for gluing most types of plastic - can't recommend it enough, but to get good results make sure you follow the instructions verbatim.

Seems to work!
I bought to stick my gearstick knob back on - in my car. The plastic tabs holding the top section on had broken. Although it didnt work exactly as per instructions, as I don’t think the broken plastic clips were sitting together - this was soon resolved by using small pieces of kitchen towel to fill the gap.hopefully nobody will ever see this work of art! Glue quickly applied to both surfaces instead. And bonded like a kitchen roll sandwich! Otherwise I followed the instructions and seems to be holding! I’m not sure if normal superglue would have stuck to the plastic clips so very happy with this purchase! This may help someone else if the pieces being glued don’t sit flush/together?

Very good but very small
It wouldn’t stick the first time, but I left it for longer (an hour ish) the second time to dry and it worked great. It is good but very small so I used it all at once
