The frame and arms are a very thin, fragile metal. They look really cool and I was looking forward to wearing them on independence day. Unfortunately they weren't packaged very well. The glasses came in a plastic bag inside a thin white box and was shipped in a bubble mailer. I don't know whether they were damaged in shipping or before hand but one of the nose guards was missing off my pair. I did find it inside the bag but it's not something I can reattach. The glasses themselves weren't bent or damaged so I don't know if they were shipped defective or broken in shipping. So they were either shipped defective or not packaged well enough to protect them. I know they are a novelty item but they were much more fragile than expected. The hinges were quite tight also and I was worried about bending them just folding them out. I really only ordered them to wear one day but I didn't even get that out of them.

These glasses would be perfect for the upcoming 4th of July. I wouldn't recommend them for everyday use because they seem like they will break fairly easily. I was afraid I was going to break them when I unfolded them.They look great. What I like the most is I don't even notice the graphics when I look through them. If you want to be festive for any American holiday these would be a good party accessory. I am happy I bought these
