so far so good.
The media could not be loaded. I’m replacing an old batch of these that I pulled up from the bottom of my pond a few months ago that I had completely forgotten were down there (and working) when we bought the house. I didn’t want anything super complicated just plug-in and go. I didn’t really want a remote control because it’s not really necessary for me, and I don’t wanna add components that can break if I don’t need to. This has a “sensor“ so we’ll see how well that works, but honestly, even if I have to plug it in and unplug it every single time- that’s fine. It’s just me using these anyway. The fish are my hobby. The only thing I wish I had was a dimmer for the fishes sake bc the water is pretty clear so this may be too much at night.. but I don’t plan on leaving it on all night either so we’ll see. But so far so good. I know a lot of you guys said to seal them with silicone.. I may do that after I decide if I want to put a color on or not. But honestly even if I had to buy a new set every year I don’t think that’s excessive.. I mean these are well under $50. I paid $25 (I think they are regularly $39) for a 5 pack with sensor and I think the price is more than fair. Underwater nights are notoriously tricky so I absolutely do not expect these to last longer than a few years. Now had I bought some extravagant underwater illumination light kit for $100+ I might expect more.. but this is a pretty simple kit. The pond and the fish are my babies and my personal reprieve from stress so i’m just happy to be able to watch them at night without an intrusive flashlight and the mosquitoes that flashlights attract !!! Fish don’t have eyelids so I can see where that might be annoying.. me being all nosy with a flashlight at 10pm when they are all trying to rest 🤣. That’s the only time they are calm and still enough for me to give everyone a good once over and make sure everyone is healthy and possibly remove anyone who isn’t. Anyway good set so far now let’s see how it works in the water and i’m going to order the sealant now too.update later that day: I went with the yellow lens after trying each color under water and now they are out and waiting for the sealent to come tomorrow then back down they go. so far very pleased and idk what people expect lol if these stay lit 2 years it’ll be worth it. they aren’t super expensive and if you want something that won’t die for the next decade, perhaps try something different in a higher price bracket bc these are very nice for $25!!!they are well spaced (i doubt i’ll even unravel them bc i plan to keep them all in the center- it’s a 7 x 15 concrete hole in the ground next to our front door fashioned with a waterfall.. and in the center on the deeper side, there is a lower space planted with lillie’s and other substrate which is where the old ones were that we liked), weighted enough so you don’t have to worry about them lifting or floating or moving at all really, and very user friendly and simple. I’m very pleased with these.

A great addition to the look of your pond.
Well made. Heavy duty. The lights with the colors add great mood to the pond at night. They really make a difference.

I like it .
It’s a great price for what you get . But it’s not very bright around the small pond I have

Great lights for the price.
I've been using these lights for years. They're bright, sturdy and perfect for the deeper part of my pond. They usually lasted a couple of years before water leaked in and corroded the inside. However, now I use a clear, marine grade sealant to seal the clear lens, and they may last forever! This new set is an addition to the set I'vehad for about five years (with sealed lenses) These are a great buy!

Lousy lenses ruin an otherwise good product
These seem to be bright and durable, but they've only been running for a week so durability is still up in the air.The were tested on my workbench and ran overnight with no issues. Then the clear lenses they shipped with were swapped with amber ones without issue, and on the bench they were totally amber-looking.They have a long cord (probably 15 feet?) between the power plug and the first light, which worked perfectly to reach the electrical outlet. The length of cable between the lights also allowed me to put lights on each side of the fountain and on two different levels.Overall they installed into my fountain relatively easily, with the heads having enough tilt to aim it every way I needed to. After re-assembling the fountain, I was happy right up until I plugged them in.I'll let the photos speak for themselves. One photo is of amber lenses, and the other are red lenses. On what planet do either of those colors match "amber" or "red"? Not this planet. Apparently once you put them in water it completely changes the hue of the lights!I didn't try to use the blue or green lenses because it was too much of a pain to drain the fountain and replace them, so I went with the purple-ish lights via the red lenses.Because of the lens colors, I totally would have returned these, even though they work well otherwise. But since I'd cut the electrical cord to tie into my landscaping lights, it was too late for that. Real bummer.

Great for a fountain too
Perfect and I’m a repeat customer. Sadly they will only last 1 yr but they look great.

Do not buy unless you like aggravation and dysfunction
Read the whole chain below:These lights are installed in our outdoor waterfall/stream and work very well both above and in the rushing water. The choice of color lenses is great (we installed blue) and the units are water tight. The light sensor reliably turns the lights on as evening sets. I would give 5 stars for overall performance; took away one star for cable being a bit short between the lights.Update: 2 months in after working great, the lights stopped working for no reason. Massive disappointment. Taking away at least 2 more stars. I now have to disassemble the ligjting set up and disrupt the water feature. I had higher hopes, but am now unhappyUpdate 3 months: lights are working fine again. May have been rain water in a connection. Using them both above and below water and they work well.Update 4: the under water lights are fine, but any time it rains the above ground cable connections must not be water tight. At this point, I’d try a different system.Update 5: turns out the on at dusk sensor is not water proof even though it comes with a garden stake. With every big rain the lights would either not work at all or strobe and flash. A simple solution was to put a clear plastic waterproof cover over the sensor unit and all works fine now.Update 6: stay away from this piece of junk. It works, it doesn’t work, it goes in and out for no reason. I am pretty savvy about electrical systems and the only thing I can consider after many tries, is that the transformer at the plug is garbage.
