Exceptional grain mill attachment!
This grain mill attachment is a power house and the quality is outstanding. It’s made of durable, heavy duty metal and it has a nice sleek design. It comes with a users manual that is easy to understand. The attachment connects perfectly on to my Kitchen Aid mixer, and the setup process is so simple - attach it to your mixer, adjust the dial to your desired coarseness, add your grain to the hopper, and turn on your mixer. Although the hopper is fairly good sized, they recomend not to overload it. The dial has 12 settings for coarseness, from a coarse crack to a fine powder. I ran it through a second time for an even finer grind. It’s easy to clean afterwards with the brush that is included (Note: it’s not recomended to be washed in the dishwasher). So far, I have ground corn and oats, but this would be perfect for also grinding wheat, rice, buckwheat, millet, barley, and other grains just as easily. I love how this attachment gives me the satisfaction of creating my own flour from scratch. I especially appeciate that it allows me to control and know exactly what is going into my food while retaining all of the nutrients and without all the extra additives, preservatives, or fillers. Just pure, freshly ground grains. Store bought flours just don’t compare to the superior taste and quality of freshly milled grains. So much more flavorful. This grain mill attachment would be an excellent gift or addition to anyone’s kitchen, especially for someone who values wholesome, fresh ingredients.

Fresh flour ready to go
This grain mill attachment for the kitchenaid stand mixer is an absolute game-changer for anyone who loves baking with fresh, whole grains. The build quality is outstanding, as it feels solid, durable, and fits perfectly onto my mixer without any issues. I love that it offers 12 grind levels, allowing me to choose everything from coarse cracked grains to fine flour depending on what I'm making.I’ve used it to grind wheat, oats, corn, and buckwheat so far, and it handles everything with ease. The flour comes out consistent and smooth, and I appreciate being able to control the texture for different recipes. It’s especially satisfying knowing I’m using freshly milled ingredients, and I’ve definitely noticed an improvement in the flavor and texture of my breads and baked goods.Cleanup is simple, and the all-metal design means it’s easy to wipe down and built to last. If you're into baking or looking to add more whole grains into your cooking, this is a smart investment that gives your KitchenAid mixer even more value. Highly recommend for home bakers and DIY foodies alike!

Not fine enough
When i got it all hooked up and used it the first time. I was disappointed. I put the grain into the grinder and when they came out i still have hard pieces mixed with a few fine pieces.

Quiet, a bit slow, great way to start milling
I'm new to milling and baking with fresh-milled flour, so I didn't want to drop hundreds on a stand-alone grain mill in case I decided not to keep up with this hobby. I thought this was a great price point for entry, as it's $25 cheaper than the official Kitchenaid attachment.Pros:- It's a lot quieter than I expected- Takes up much less space than a stand-alone mill- Great priceCons:- Runs hot and with a burny smell. The product description says not to run it for more than 45 minutes without taking a break for it to cool down. I only ran it for about 10 minutes before taking a break because I was afraid of burning out the motor or burning down my kitchen. Luckily, that was enough time to grind what I needed for that day.- Adjustment wheel is finicky. It's hard to get it to move; you have to kind of mess with it. After the first use, the knob sits crooked now. I may need to try to take it apart and reassemble it to get a better fit.Overall, I recommend this product for light use. If you're going to be baking bread several times a week, you might want to invest in a separate mill. I'm hoping this will hold up for me until I'm more "ingrained" in FMF baking.

good deal
I've only used it once, but it worked well and appears to be high quality. It was much less expensive than the Kitchenaid version.

Easy to use
Purchased this flower meal in preparation for homesteading with my daughters and granddaughter. We are learning a lot about making your own ingredients without all the additives. Looking forward to using this mill.

It functions as described
I am really trying to like this item since I made a large wheat berry purchase.Pros: connects to kitchen aid and grinds the wheat, all metal parts, seems durable, good price compared to kitchen aid modelCons: too close to kitchen aid, small hopper, would be great if the drop was longer or something could be easily attached to dispense to reduce dust spreadI have been grinding batches of 10cups for 3 loads of bread recipe. It takes about 10 minutes on low to grind the 10 cups (1200 grams) of wheat. And per user manual should grind 3 to 4 times to get a good consistency. Which means to grind flour for 1 recipe it takes 30 to 40 minutes plus cool down time on the mixer. As my kitchen aid is hot after the 10 minutes of grinding.I am on the fence about returning it and buying a standalone grinder.
