Well worth the money.
This unit is far better than I expected. Very easy to install and get running with several mounting options. The display is very clear and bright and easy to read. The cameras are are high resolution. I have the 9” screen which fits perfectly on my dash. I am using it with an iPhone 13 and it syncs perfectly using Bluetooth. The only downside I have found is the built in speaker. It is small and faces away from you thus provides poor sound quality. Most people would use the auto stereo/radio anyway. I use my iPhone and a high quality external Bluetooth speaker since my radio is not the best. I would highly recommend this unit to upgrade your older vehicle.

It's okay but keep your GPS
I have used the Carpuride for a few months now. Overall I would say it works okay. The screen brightness is more than adequate in all lighting conditions and is clear and easy to read. The size is a good compromise between functionality and ease of installation. All necessary hardware is included for the installation and it takes only a few minutes to get it up and running.I have experienced an issue with the function on it. The second time I used it, it lost connection to my phone and the screen returned to the home screen. The bluetooth icon had an X though it. After restarting the Carpuride it returned to normal. I sent customer service an email and they responded fairly quickly asking a few questions and sent an update to the firmware. I installed it but after about a half dozen more rides, it did it again. Not sure how reliable the system is as this isn't an issue I have experienced with any other device I am currently using. The update process is not the most convenient. It requires downloading the file to a micro SD card and then inserting the card into the Carpuride. The slot for the card is recessed making it difficult to install the card without removing the unit from the mounting bracket. This design could have been much more user friendly and the whole process could be done wirelessly had they added this feature. My Garmin GPS does all its updates wirelessly and seamlessly.Despite this process the issue is still there and at this point I am going to just continue using it as is. I reinstalled my Garmin GPS and am using it in addition to the Carpuride. It has always worked flawlessly and has never given me an issue while out riding. It does everything I need should the Carpuride act up. When I am out riding the last thing I want to do is spend time trying to get a device working along side the road. Hopefully Carpuride gets enough feedback from users and their future updated devices will improve. As a Car Play device is works adequately. Thus far I can't really say it has added a lot of benefit over my Garmin and it probably isn't something I would buy again. If you don't already have a high quality motorcycle GPS then this would be a cheaper alternative that provides decent mapping along with a few other features that Car Play can provide. I use a helmet communicator which works great for calls or communications from my phone so I am not using this function on the Carpuride.I am currently trying to set up the Carpuride for weather monitoring and secondary mapping. If I can get this accomplished then it will serve the purpose I need and should the system act up again, it really isn't an issue that will bother me on the ride. Not really an ideal situation given the cost of the Carpuride but it doesn't seem they have a fix yet. Hopefully they will eventually.

Very good with a two-headed caveat that is...
...The audio on phone calls is terrible and the text messaging doesn't work at all. What is odd is that I can hear music very well through my in-helmet headphones but phone calls are awful and again, text messages are not even coming through 90% or more of the time. Otherwise this is a fine unit and it works very well on my Harley Ultra Classic. With those two caveats explained, I still consider this to be recommendable. Thanks!07/29/2024I returned the unit today as I think mine is faulty as it is just getting worse. Once the return is verified I will order another from the company in the hope that the phone and text and Siri functions all work. The unit would seize up and music was no longer being played. Siri does not respond and I could never receive or send a text and the call functions were also non-functioning. Hopefully the next one I try will do everything as advertised.Thanks!09/30/2024 Update!I ordered another one and received it and installed it on my Ultra Classic. This one works with the following caveats:The music portion is very good and the ease of use is excellent. And now for the phone, texting and just asking Siri for assistance. My bike has stock CVO pipes on it but the end caps are missing. It still seems louder than I would like. Now, I cannot make a phone call using Siri because I cannot be heard. I decided it was a problem with the mic and the noise level so a cheap (literally!) fix was to take a small zip-lock bag and put it over the mike and use a rubber band to hold it on. I then cut a hole on the side of the mike that faces my mouth. I then went out to test my "theory" eliminating as much directional sound as possible should allow the Carpuride to hear my voice.A friend texted me and it came through via Siri speaking to me but I was unable to replay. I opened my helmet up and requested Siri to call my friend. It worked! I then spoke with her on the freeway and on surface streets and had no problems at all. She reported that I was easy to hear too! After the call, I asked Siri to play some Frank Sinatra and...BAZINGA! It worked! I also asked for directions and Siri, through the Carpuride provided them with voice prompting!I have not ridden for a week now but will get back on soon for more testing but I can say that now I recommend the Carpuride highly. I am using the USB power but will most likely hard-wire it to the bike's battery sometime down the road perhaps prior to taking a 1,000 mile tour of Arizona in the near future!Any changes/problems I will update here! Thank you!
