My Roommate Is a Vampire

I was very surprised by this book, I admit I bought it cause I found the cover adorable, but to my surprise I ended up loving every single line. It is funny and emotional, I could very well relate to the female character, her hopes and fears and I obviously fell in love with Frederick, a true gentleman who is so clueless about the modern world and this fact only makes it more fun and sweet, you can’t not love him!! Also, the side characters are really really good. Briefly, I didn’t want the book to end ✨

I loved this book for the most part, honestly laughed out loud and how funny he is as a vampire who's so old and clueless. Definitely a fun read and a cute romance that blossoms throughout.I didn't fully get a part where he becomes very angry and raging at the main character, cassie, for posting a picture in her bikini on Instagram... given how respectful, kind and lovely he had been before that. The jealousy caught me off guard and It just didn't seem to fit his character in my opinion.The steamy part was probably like 3 stars.. it was okay, pretty cringey but it is a rom com book after all so it makes sense.I loved this book otherwise, super quick to read but wished thete was a confirmed ending rather than a cliff hanger. Would recommend this book if you want something funny, warm and comforting to read!

Refreshing that the main character is 32 and not another teen/early 20s female. More realistic and you can relate more to the characters.

Cela peut paraître dérisoire au vu de l'actualité mais lire est une véritable bouffée d'oxygène, une échappatoire salvatrice quand le monde ne tourne plus rond.My Roommate is a Vampire est une comédie romantique qui fait du bien et qui est tombé à point nommé pour moi.Cassie est jeune et fauchée. Elle cumule les petits boulots en attendant de trouver un vrai job d'enseignante en arts. Son futur-ex proprio la met à la porte dans quelques jours et elle doit trouver un nouveau logement au plus vite. Alors cette annonce proposant une colocation dans un quartier de rêve pour une somme ridicule est tout ce dont elle rếvait...Mais son nouveau colocataire est étrange. Il dort toute la journée et sort toute la nuit. Il s'habille et parle comme s'il venait d'un autre temps. Normal, c'est un vampire ! Mais Cassie l'apprendra à ses dépens plus tard...C'est léger, c'est fun et l'intrigue ne tombe pas toujours dans le schéma classique des romances ce qui est vraiment rafraîchissant. J'ai tellement aimé Frederick, le vampire qui essaye de s'ajuster au monde du XXIè siècle après un coma de 100 ans. Une lecture vraiment drôle et touchante. La romance est juste parfaite.Bref, on est pas passé loin d'un énorme coup de coeur. Une lecture cosy pour l'automne, c'est sûr !J'ai hâte de lire les prochains romans de l'autrice !
