I got this Mikeru 120cm spiral pendant LED light for review. As I had been looking for a more modern looking light, I thought this would be ideal to test in my recently refitted kitchen.Previously I had a kitchen light that took 3 GU10 LEDs, although it provided reasonable but not particularly even lighting if I got the wide-angle output GU10 bulbs, they were unreliable.This 120cm spiral pendant was virtually a straight swap. I had to drill one hole to reposition one of the fixing screws, then I was able to fit the bracket to the ceiling. I then turned off the lighting ring circuit at the fuse box, and connected the positive, neutral and ground wires from the LED light to the connector block hanging from the ceiling. I then fitted the light fitting with my wife holding the hanging spiral, to the ceiling bracket with the 2 nuts. The length of the spiral light cables can be adjusted before and after fitting, so I did a fine adjustment once in place.After turning the lighting circuit power back on at the fuse box, I turned on the kitchen light switch and the LED spiral lit up. The remote control can be used to adjust the spiral for brightness and white temperature. Whether turned off with the remote control or the kitchen light switch the lamp will recall its last settings, this is handy as once I have set a colour of around 4000k at near maximum brightness with the remote control, I would mainly use the kitchen light switch. The colour temperature can be changed using the kitchen light switch if turned on and off in quick succession.The remote control will require 2 AAA batteries for operation, as these are not supplied.Overall, this looks great in the kitchen, and it provides even illumination. Theres also plenty of adjustment in light level, colour and height. If you’re looking for something a little different, in my personally opinion I think this fits the bill well.I hope you find my review useful and helpful.
