A must have for blackstone cooking
Some may say this is a non-essential item for griddle cooking, I say it is a "must have" item. It takes the guesswork out of what the actual temperature of the zones on your griddle surface is..Not relying on the position of the gas control knobs alone. Get one! I feel the accuracy is spot on, has a laser dot to point the unit and an easy to read, back-lit display...great value and tech for the price...performance is awesome!

It works, but beeps
I bought this to replace a similar device I had whose handle became sticky after several years. Unfortunately, I was not aware this one makes a beeping sound. It doesn’t appear the beep can be turned off. It beeps with each release of the trigger. I bought this to scan the ceiling and ac vents in my Texas home to check for spots of higher heat. If you hold the button down while scanning it for a small period of time, it will start beeping a lot which I find annoying. I’m not sure it was designed to allow scanning for several seconds at a time, but rather one thing at a time. I’m returning for quiet model.
