Wasn’t sure what to give my boy on his graduating day while all the girls received flowers, this was perfect!

This is a very nicely made ribbon lei -- the colors are lovely and the satin ribbon has a nice sheen. The braiding is neatly done and the four plaits are of uniform thickness and width all along the length. They create a lovely pattern. This lei is longer as well as quite a bit wider than several other leis I was considering, and I like the full but not bulky look. The lei is light-weight so it doesn't feel heavy, either. The lei is light-weight but feels rather sturdy and it has a bit of stretch to it that will make it easier for me to add the trim. My granddaughter is graduating from high school and I wanted to surprise her with a money lei (something I am trying for the first time). So far, I have tried attaching a couple of money flowers, some ribbons and bows, and a few real flowers, just for practice (I didn't want to find out my ideas wouldn't work the day before graduation). The individual flowers aren't heavy but I did want to be sure that the lei would be able to support the weight of all of the trim and that none of the ribbons making up the lei would end up being pulled out of shape. So far, so good. The lei arrived neatly folded in a sturdy box and the ribbons were smooth and there were no creases. Included in the box are the glitter pins shown in the pictures accompanying the description. They are of a good size with bright colors and nice borders -- the lettering and other details are crisp. They are thin and light and the back of the pin is a bit flimsy, but it does have a little guard to help it stay closed. Plus, they only have to stay on for a short time, so I think they will be fine. The pin is wide enough to slip through two center loops on the lei so I won't need to poke holes in the ribbon. I like the cute diploma and the graduation cap, so those are the ones I will use on the lei, but I'll use the others to decorate gift packages. I think this is a very nice lei and the price is very reasonable so I'm happy to have found it.

Letters spell GRAR NOT GRAD

This is a nice quality open style lei. The length is plenty long, even for the bigger people in your life. It is (as it says) 4 strands, so it is a little wider than the normal braided lei, and has a bit of curve to it across its width (It is concave or convex depending which way you have it flipped). It isn't a problem...in fact it gives it a little body...but just be aware.I wanted the closed style lei, but thought I could just tie this one. It does work OK to do that, but it is so long that I had to tie part of the lei, not just the ends like I was planning.The pins are just OK. They look like the picture, but it isn't my favorite look. Sort of look like felt with glitter on them. But they are clear and you can pin them on however you want, pin them on something else, or just leave them off.
