Since my place doesn't have a dryer I've had to get used to using drying racks, so when I saw the JOOM Clothes Drying Rack I decided to pick it up. Now, when you receive the drying rack, right on the instructions it states it DO NOT INSTALL ON DRYWALL or FOAM BRICK WALLS, which to me makes complete sense, however, there's a catch to it - What they mean by drywall is drywall without a stud behind it. You do NOT want to anchor this hanger just on a wall, it needs a wooden stud to be mounted into in order for it to hold the weight of whatever you place on it.With that being said, once you find an adequate mounting place - I do recommend using a stud finder (no, that's not a husband finder) to find the wood behind the drywall that you'll want to mount this to. Once mounted, though, it's a great drying rack with a lot of room for so many items to be hung and dried upon.Overall, if you're in need of a drying rack and want something that you know you'll be able to mount onto a stud, then I'd definitely recommend picking up this JOOM Clothes Drying Rack!

I used to have a wooden drying rack, but every time I wasn’t using it, I’d have to fold it up and put it away. This works great - I’ve mounted it to the wall in the laundry room and I pull it out when I need it to hang my clothes to dry. I love it!

Put it up just can’t wait to use it

Our house has a small laundry room, a "pass through" style with the washer and dryer on one side and doors going to the garage and one to the house. So there's no room for a real dryer rack. I do have some of those other the door hooks where I could put hangers on, but this foldable drying rack is so much better!It can extend out when needed and the hangers can be hung so that there's space between the clothes to help them air dry. To make the mounting more secure, try to mount it into the wall stud as wet clothes can be heavy. This is another useful product!

The rack itself is very nice. It folds in and out easily, is sturdy, and seems to made well. I can pull clothes out of the dryer and hang them up right away. Or, I can hang clothes that I don’t want to put in the dryer without having to lay them over a door or shower rod.What I don’t like about this is the installation, and it is made worse by one design flaw. It is best if this is screwed directly into a stud for the sturdiest installation. A standard wall stud is 1.5” wide. The holes on the mount are 1.5” apart. To get all four screws into a stud, you have to drive them in at an angel. If the holes were only 1” apart, installation would be a whole lot easier. Also, if they had included a template, you wouldn’t have to try and hold the rack level while also marking the holes. One other thing, they use the cheapest screws possible, and every single one of them stripped out. Now I can’t get them in all the way, nor can I remove them.
