Best Magnifiers for any hobby like Electronics Repair
I've watched a YouTube video from Paul Youdelis and he loved these magnifiers so I picked some up to use for Electronics so I can get a close up view of small SMD components. Basically his review made me buy these for my electrical needs or anything else I'll need them for.The only down side like others stated is the Focal length of the higher magnification is not as focused unless the object is close to the object you're holding it to the lens, but it's great if you need a good closeup view of broken or damaged traces on a PCB.These are worth the price if you need cheap but good Magnifiers then spending some more expensive ones with only one magnification.

Excellent Optics for the Low Price
MechanicalThis comes with an elastic band to hold it in place on your head, but I found it unnecessary since it is so light. Each eyepiece has a separate switch for the LED which takes 3 batteries each – included. The eye pieces rotate up out of the way, and can adjust sideways 5 mm right or left. The LED bulbs are very bright and adjust in or out. The lenses come in a plastic storage box which is hard to open. Focus is achieved by moving your head closer or farther from the object you are viewing. The seller notes that the lenses are to be used one at a time (not for binocular viewing) and suggests to use a lower power in one eye and a higher power in the other.OpticsThe important considerations for optics are Resolution (magnification without resolution is nothing), Light gathering (brightness), Focal distance, Flatness of field, Depth of field, Color aberrations, and a wide field of view. I am astonished at how good this set of 16 lenses are at this price point. Even the 25x lenses were crisp and clear, and although I expected to need the LED, they were usable without it in a bright room. I have a 15x compound lens jewelers loupe which is not nearly as good. The lower power lenses (2.5x to 8x) have a flat field (everything in focus at the same time) and unnoticeable chromatic aberrations. The higher power lenses are not as good, but it would be ridiculous to expect better at this price. Even the 25x lenses are usable - the center 1/3 of the field is in focus with tiny color fringes. The depth of focus at 25x is quite small so it becomes a bit tricky to keep whatever it is you are looking at in focus. The focal distance for the 8x lens is about 2 ¾ inches and the 25x lens is ¾ inch (21 mm) which gives satisfactory clearance for me. The width of field is fairly broad at slightly over 1 inch at 8x and 5/16 inch at 25x.

Great for single eye, up close viewing!
Had something in my finger - a steel shard, or carbon tube splinter? But I could not see it with the 10x magnifier. So I looked at all the options on Amazon and settled on these.First, I do not believe there are any "glasses" as these that let you use both eyes at once, at least not at this price. With this in mind, I put the 15x in one eye and the 20x in the other and started to work.Second, when working at high magnification, the item you are looking at needs to be close to the magnifying lens.I wore these over my glasses and without my glasses. I was surprised that there was more distance from the lens to my finger than I expected. I could use the needle on my finger just fine.Third, when working closely under magnification, with one eye, your depth of field will be limited.Don't try to use this for detail work at a high magnification as you might be disappointed. You will be able to see it fine, but trying to bring something into your field of view to work on an object is tricky.Fourth, lighting at high magnification can wash out the object. The light on the glasses are adjustable and work well for illumination. The color is slightly blue in tint. A time or two I would use the light from the opposite side to make it not so intense. If you can work within the limitation of the glasses, you will have a pleasant experience.

A lot of research and turned out to be just what I needed
I've been looking at multiple types of magnifiers over the past year. This is the first pair I've pulled the trigger on. I am extremely happy with the choice! I haven't used them other than to check out how they feel and the construction of them and the lenses, and I'm satisfied. The case that holds the lenses was difficult to open and that's the only complaint that I have. I was cautious when opening as I thought I might end up pulling too hard, having it open up, throwing all of the lenses everywhere. That didn't happen and I'm sure it will be easier to open as time goes by.The lenses feel secure when clicked into place and the LEDs are bright. Overall, I'm happy with the choice and would buy again. This checks all of the boxes for me.

Unconventional use of loupe for macular degeneration
Purchased the Aomelkie LED Loupe Headband for a 91-year-old person with severe macular degeneration. This is not the intended purpose of the loupe headband and I didn’t think the loupe would work very well given how close an item has to be to the loupe, BUT the person was very pleased with the loupe as he found he was able to read the print on seasonings again without a handheld 40x magnifying glass. The person is looking forward to cooking without making so many mistakes. That’s a win! With the eight magnifying options we found the best fit for him. He settled into the 4x strength. Nice! We will still rewrite his favorite recipes in 1-inch block letters, but he’s using the loupe instead of his magnifying glass to read them... the loupe makes reading more natural for him. While he’d never be able to change the lenses for other uses, he is pleased to have something to make cooking for himself easier. The loupe did not work well for television watching. The sidelights are helpful as well.

Short focal length
The focal length is a lot shorter than I was looking for. More than 2x is like 6" and 20x is like 1". I didn't expect to have to hold objects so close to my face. Lenses are clear and easy to change. Glasses are plastic but don't feel cheap and the lenses come in a hard plastic case. And I like the led's. I don't prefer the inability of not having stereo vision but i knew that prior to my purchase. Pleased, except for the short focal length. They're on sale on the Aomekie website right now for $3 less.

FOCAL POINT......
Magnification glasses or microscope is all about the focal point, which I rarely see any product ever mention.the higher the magnification....your holding the item 1" from the glasses....useless...without focal point control. BUT it does the job for the minor stuff I do and You cannot use both eyes pieces same time for stereo view I tried it is impossible.
