Really happy with this set
I have never had a matching toaster and kettle before and these are really nice and well made with such useful features. Apparently the brand name means something rude in the UK but I didn’t know that! I am still very pleased with them and glad I treated myself.

Flimsy crap, no longer quality - absolute ripp off
I had 2 sets of these over the years and the quality has gone downhill so badly ... it is absolutely NO VALUE for the extortionate money anymore..... they are worse than some of the £40 ones, especially the switch and lid and inner materials. Cheap crap mass-produced in China. Likely in the same factories all the cheaper ones are made. This was a good company once ... where their product quality met their ethics... these days are long gone! Now it's nothing but 'fakery' for ripp off pricing. ..... Here is the reality > while Smeg maintains its Italian 'design', the physical production of kettles is handled in China by established OEMs, primarily Tunbow and Midea. The same companies also produces the Russel Hobbs brand. 😛 go figure...

Looks lovely but I may just have a faulty kettle
Looks lovely and feels like a great quality product. Love the colour. The button you press to open the kettle lid is sometimes sticky meaning you have to manually prize it open at times. As you pour the water, the steam escapes from the kettle and goes directly onto my hand. Not sure if this is all Smeg kettles or just this one from Amazon which was cheaper at the time. I tried to contact Smeg about the issue but be aware it doesn’t come from Smeg directly, it comes from a separate electrical company.
