Product Description A high quality High Speed Steel (HSS) Völkel threading die, precision made, for cutting threads in metal. It is a circular split die used for cutting 'new' external threads e.g. cutting a thread on a bar. Manufactured from high quality High Speed Steel and conforming to BS1127 standards, this die is for use on non-abrasive material up to 800N/mm2, unalloyed and low alloyed steel. For cutting right handed threads. This die is to be used with a diestock to cut threads by hand. The die has 2 locating holes and a split to firmly hold it into a diestock or die holder. The Völkel diestock range has 3 screws to match with the locating holes and slot to ensure a good secure fit. It is recommended that a suitable cutting oil or lubricant is used with this product.
