A spectacular product
I love it! Iโve had it for over a year now, and I truly recommend it. Itโs excellent for continuous use; it doesnโt consume much electricity and cools down an entire room without any issues. Itโs perfect for hot weather and includes several modes, such as Dry, Cool, Auto, and Fan Only. The remote control is very comprehensive and works well from a distance, and the filter is very easy to clean. Honestly, itโs very user-friendly and comes at a very affordable price. Plus, the materials are of high quality: after using it for quite some time, I havenโt noticed any signs of wearโit works just like it did on day one. The buttons donโt look worn, and the digital display works at 100%. Without a doubt, itโs a 100/100โI highly recommend it!

Lasted 1 year
I bought the 6,000 unit to cool a room that gets warm from my computer. The unit is very, very small and light for what it is. It sounds just like a hotel room A/C very loud and rattles. Since I wear headphones it doesn't bother me. I really wanted a unit that shuts the fan off when it's not cooling and it does just that. Which Saves energy. It easily cools my smaller room it says it goes to 62 and it's keeping my room around 64. Don't expect this little machine to cool a big room. *Update after 1 year machine stopped blowing cold air. It blows 60F air then when it shuts down with the room temp at 75 thermostat set to 62 it starts to blow 79F air...Was wondering my electric bill was so high. Absolute garbage. Very dissapointed it only lasted a year now I have to pay to get rid of it.

This thing is loud
This thing is loud. We just bout a 130 yo farm house and have a smaller bedroom with no AC, I read the reviews thinking ok, this shouldn't be to bad... the price was fair and seemed Comparable to others. Weeeell these other folks must me Def cause it sounds like a jet egine firing up.. it will scare the crap outta you if you actually were able to fall asleep. Iike wake the dead loud... Once it runs a bit constantly it does quite down some to a tolerable noise but if set on Auto forget it.. might as well pitch a tent on your local tarmac. It was super easy to install I was able to do it myself. It works as it should, easy to figure out and control. Doesn't get super super cold but keeps the room cool. I purchased a Media brand off the shelf at Walmart in a lack of sleep dazed and sleep deprived state, same basic unit same btu and basic digital control setup for 150 bucks and it's ridiculously quieter and maybe even a tad colder.. I don't hate it enough to return it and get my 200 bucks back but its not staying in my house it will now cool the horse barn bathroom. I apologize in advance to my equine friends.. I dont recommended this for a bedroom unless you loathe the person sleeping in it... sorry Frigidaire

Works, with caveats (doesn't handle extreme outside heat)
Install was easy enough, and it works, it blows cold air. Why this isn't a 5 star review is because it also doesn't cool down the very small kids bedroom it's installed in unless you put in some manual work. The unit turns on, spins up for a bit, you hear the compressor kick in and the cold air comes a'blastin through. Great! Rooms starts cooling down. 10 minutes in, the compressor will turn off, as AC units do, they don't run constantly. But, the fans will keep running. I'm in the middle of 95 degree Missouri summer right now, so it gleefully just starts sucking in that sweet sweet 95 degree air from outside for the next 5 minutes until the compressor starts up again. So... it completely un-does what it just did and re-heats the room. It feels like a design oversight, its running the fan too long after the compressor shuts off, it should really just completely turn off and only turn back on when the compressor is ready again. Anyway, if you learn to listen to the click and whirl of the compressor turning on and off, and you just shut the unit off entirely yourself, you can effectively cool the room down with micromanagement. If you are not dealing with insane heat outside, I suspect this problem doesn't rear its head as it isn't pulling in such crazy hot air from outside during its downtime.

Will it survive a fall from a 2nd-story window?
How well-built is this unit? 27 years of installing air conditioners and I never dropped one out a window, let alone a 2nd story window. Oops! The generous power cord length had fortunately wrapped itself around my leg and stopped the plunge. Surprisingly, the cord didn't pull loose but maintained the dangle. I didn't have the strength to pull it back up. One-handed phone calls to every neighbor in a 365 degree circle from my house yielded no help. I had no choice, I had to drop it. When I went to retrieve it, the front cowl had come loose in one corner, but a palm slap snapped it back into place. The side panels had come off. That was all the visible damage! After carrying it back upstairs, putting it back in the window and plugging it in, it purred in a perfect cooling hum. A true testament to the quality of both the design and manufacturing of this Frigidaire unit.

Small size. Big time cooling. Hats off to Fridgidaire.
This is a great product. Mini 15in width. Auto temp control. Remote. Cools a 24x24 garage with no problem. Very nice !

Very disappointing.
I purchased the Frigidaire 6000 BTU because I recently purchased new windows for my home and the window AC I had in my bedroom would no longer fit forcing me to purchase a smaller unit. The products specification claims it will cool a room up to 250 sq ft. My bedroom is around 200 sq ft and it does not do a good job of cooling. In order to get the room to my preferred sleeping temperature of 70ยฐ. I have to turn the AC down to 65 and it runs nonstop. I have to keep my bedroom door completely shut at all times. I do not believe it will be able to keep up at all during the hot muggy days of summer in the south. It is also very noisy. On the plus side, it arrived within a few days of ordering it, was well packaged, and installation was easy. I would not be buying another.

Perfect for medium sized rooms
Best I have had. Replaced a Danali Aire that seemed to do nothing. I bought 3 of these for different areas of my house. Used them in Chicago for a week when the heat index was 105+. We were extremely comfortable the whole time. Didn't even need to adjust settings. I left them on AUTO and ECO and set the thermostat. No Problem. Highly recommended.
