Introverts: Leverage Your Strengths for an Effective Job Search (Introvert Strengths)

A Must for Introvert Job Search!
I cannot get over the wealth of information on job search for introverts presented in this book, and the best part is that it comes from one of our own--an introvert! In this book, Gabriela shares very insightful lessons she learned from her own job searches as well as the job searches of her clients, as she is now a coach. She understands the specific hurdles introverts face while searching for a job (and in life in general), and she gives unique ways and inspiration to overcome things such as the fear of meeting new people, our hesitancy to talk about ourselves and self-promote, interview stress, and more. After reading this book, I feel like I have been given a secret key to success, so I can do things my way as an introvert while not stretching too far out of my comfort zone (or maybe more if I like!), and still be respected and even sought after for my skills. I would have gladly paid ten times the amount for what I learned from this book. If you are an introvert having trouble finding a job or even looking to change careers, I would definitely suggest reading this book before you do anything else. It will save you time, money, and stress!

Effective Job-Finding, For Introverts And Just About Everyone Else!
Introverts often have difficulty selling themselves - and nowhere more than in a situation where they must sell their own skills and services, such as a job interview. This is where Ms. Casineanu has can help introverts - or anyone who has difficulty promoting themselves -- to conduct themselves with confidence and be proud of the outcome. While the book is directed to readers who are looking for work, this book is also a must-read for hiring managers, everyone in the H.R. department, life-skills counselors (charities, government agencies and high school counselors) and everyone who wants to know how to network with more confidence and success. This book is detailed - it isn't intended to be a 'fast read' dispensing the same-old advice and easy answers. Instead, it takes a hard and serious look at a problem almost every adult will encounter in life: how do you sell yourself the ethical, honest and effective way? This book needs to be on every educator's, coach's, human resources manager's and entrepreneur's reference self. I'd also give it to any new grad or job-changer looking for how to put their best foot forward!

Praises from a Former Hiring Manager!
"Introverts: Leverage Your Strengths for an Effective Job Search" is a thought-provoking book for both thosewho are seeking a job and those who are in the position of hiring for positions. As a former hiring manager, it was always easy to "read" the extrovert individuals who interviewed for positions at my company, but it was much harder to ascertain the introverts’ true personality and working style from one interview.Sadly, the extroverts are often more successful at landing the position due to their out-going personality. This book addresses this issue, and offers wisdom to the introvert to be able to land the best job for them. The author offers practical advice that is relevant in today's job market. I highly recommend this book as a must-read!

MOST UNIQUE AND INFORMATIVE JOB SEARCH BOOK IN A FEW YEARS
This book is insanely good. While other books tackle things like resume, interview preparation and the like, this book addresses the core issues you are having trouble getting your dream job. It addresses how you feel about yourself and what you can bring to a company, which then you translate unconsciously in your speech and body language come the interview. It addresses what you want out of a job in order to be happy at it, and thus increasing your happiness level. It's job searching with a purpose, with a goal in mind, and science has proven people with goals are more likely to achieve them than those who do not. Plus, it has some job searching tips what I haven't read ANYWHERE. It's really unique and an amazing book. Feel free to chuck the other books, which regurgitate the same information with a different word sequence, in the bin. Also, be ready to face some truths about yourself. This book opens your eyes as to what you think of yourself, and it can be tough to face that (it was for me).Overall, solid 10.

I like this book a lot!
The author helped thousands of unemployed people find jobs and advance their careers. She is an expert and it shows all throughout the book. I have friends and family who struggle to find fulfilling jobs because they aren't 'Go-getters,' and I've come across very talented and skilled employees who because of their shyness won't get the opportunities that others take for granted. This is a book that I will highly recommend to all of them. This book will teach you how to align your short-term goal with your long-term objective. Even when you're in a job that does not give you much satisfaction right now, after reading "Introverts:Leverage Your Strengths' you'll be getting more satisfaction out of your current job whilst you learn how to work on your career plans.I like this book very much. It is easy and enjoyable to read, comprehensive, laid out very clearly and a must-have for any introvert in the workforce.

Exceptionally well written
Job Search For Introverts is exceptionally well written and thought out. From adjusting your current mindset, through the preparation process, all the way to effective job search strategies, this book has it all. The chapters are specifically geared toward introverts and incredibly detailed, containing tables and timeline suggestions to help the reader stay on track. My favorite chapter's got to be Chapter 12: Networking the Introverts Way. An introvert myself, I so appreciate all the outlined tips and suggestions within this book.

Great book , good information on job hunting.
At last a book for the more introverted person, on how to get jobs, and so move forward in their career. This book holds the readers attention , with plenty of real life stories, of real life job hunters, and thought provoking questions, together with questionnaires designed to help the introvert to move themselves into a rewarding career. There is also a really good section on the tools you need for job hunting, resumes , cover letters. In addition to job seeking skills, it has a practical real life application as well, as so many of these skills are transferable into many other areas of your life. Great book well worth reading.

At last!
Where has this book been all my life?Even though it is not the purpose of this book, I did discover while reading it that I had a clear incline to be an introvert. What a revelation! In this book, I saw why I felt at odds too often and - most importantly - how I could make some changes to make me more efficient when meeting potential new bosses or clients. What a useful and complete book.

very high quality manual from very orgnised engineer mind
It took two days to me to read this manual. It is not for Introverts only; it is for everybody. We see the touch of a good coach and expert engineer. As long as I continued to read the different organized tips, I realized that I want to discover more. Now I need to go back and start reading again, chapter by chapter, and use the schema the author is suggesting to introduce us in a well-organized Job Searching Plan. I like 5 things the most:a) the wheel as a photo of the different paths of Job Search ( and life)b) the flowcharts (dear memories when i was programming in IBM RPG, too many years ago)c) the SMARRT format. The formula Gabriela invented to remember and choose step by steps what to do direct to the point you need for respecting your abilitiesd) the TFAR sequence from cognitive approach, the emotional one to Actions and Results; clear path.e) the buddying formula too which very useful. We see the art of coaching and experience. I recommend this book to everybody who has to plan & find a job. He will receive tech and love from a passionate Expert who really loves her helping work.Thanks.

Great resource
This book is a very useful resource to everyone who’s on a course of searching for a job. The style and structure of this book are very approachable and easy to grasp. I, myself an introvert, wish I have had this book in my hands a few years ago when I struggled finding my way, my path and my new career, to give me the power and confidence needed in the job hunt.I especially liked Chapter 7 where Gabriela so clearly explains how important it is to know exactly what you want and how to use your strengths and skills to find a workplace that matches your values and have the courage to eliminate the ones that are not a good fit.The strategies presented by the author will help you use your strengths to actually find a way to penetrate into the hidden job market and make you understand that the strategies won’t work alone, but rather as a cluster, and using them in parallel “will not only accelerate the process of finding a job, but also keep your head up during this difficult period of time” as she finely described it.Gabriela skillfully put this book together for us, the introverts, but it applies to everyone. Now, the ball is in your court. Make the best of it and by using what you’ve learned from this book, find your way to great careers and new endeavors.

It felt like this book was written for me
It felt like this book was written for me! Sort of akin to "What Colour is Your Parachute?", but better as it's aligned to the mind and personality of an introvert! Well done.
