Well made, just what I needed, I like the quality of this product, Thank you!!!
I noticed right away that this product is going to work well in my somewhat complicated drip irrigation system. I running this filter in the actual garden hose (I cut the hose and bought some barb fittings to make it an inline filter prior to my drip system). After the filter the water goes through a pipe where I branch off to a spigot for a hose on my deck and then up to another spigot that runs a Y with two water timers that go off on opposite schedules as to keep good pressure. The system works like a charm, however, I have to watch the fall for freezing temps and I blow out the lines with an air compressor and remove the plastic water timers to prevent bursting. Here's a cool trick, use half inch drip line that then tee off to soaker hoses with a valve at the end of each one for easy clean out each year. This save money on all those expensive drip irrigation drippers that can clog but it takes a bit of work to find proper fittings, hose clamps, and I use a touch of 100 percent silicon in each fitting to insure no leaks....anyway, it works for me and was a lot cheaper than a full drip system. You can replace the soaker hoses every 3 to 6 years if you like yet I've run mine for 4 years with only a leak now and again that I use a fitting on to fix.

Perfect for creating drip zones
I used this step-down in-line valve to reduce the PSI (down to 30 PSI) on a new zone I created off my 3/4” irrigation system which I specifically designed (with 1/2” black tubing, 1/4” spaghetti lines and drip emitters) to water flowering pots in our courtyard that get full sun. This summer has been brutally hot; so I also created a Program B off my Rain Bird controller that waters the pots, not once, but twice each day for short periods. I’ll have to adjust that as we get into the fall, but I’m very pleased with the result.I should add I’ve used these valves on two other zones… the spray type sprinkler heads were keeping the bottom halves of our shutters wet and they were rotting well before their time. I stepped-down the zones replaced the sprinkler heads and installed drip tubing (brown tubing with small holes every 12”) and am very pleased with that as well.

Reduces clogs a lot!
We require frequent cleaning because of an open water source for irrigation. The filter helps immensely.

Keeps the pressure constant for my drip irrigation system
I installed this regulator in March. So far the irrigation system is consistently using the same amount of water on each cycle. I haven't tried the cleanout feature yet but I will this fall.

Disappointed
So disappointed with this pressure regulator. Once installed and operated it started to leak from what appears to be a little white button below the water flow directional arrow. There was an 800 number to call for support. I spoke to the rep and he said that was a pressure relief valve and if it continues to leak it's defective. Though that didn't make sense because if it's flowing water maybe there is too much pressure? Regardless the only option is to replace it because it wastes too much water when the system runs. While buy a different brand.
