Since we’re on a pandemic. I had to buy this food for my best friend here on amazon because she couldn’t go out. She usually buy her hamster’s food at pet stores because she’s scared of the bug infestation. Since she doesn’t have a choice, she had to ask me to buy the food online. Of course, She did her research and she said that before giving any hamster food to your furry friends you must freeze It for 24 hours. This method kills potential bugs. After 24 hours, you should put it in a air tight container. It depends on you if you want to store the food in the freezer or just put it in your pantry for your pets. Just don’t forget to do the freezing method.By the way the brand’s look is different from what’s shown here on amazon, but it’s cool! I like the new look of this product.

I own a dwarf hamster and was really disappointed when I tried to find the right food for her. Most of the products sold are made for "normal" hamsters and those have a different need when it comes to nutrients. The one the store sold me originally was full of sunflower seeds and corn, if I had given that to her, she'd probably have diabetes by now (yes, dwarfs can get that).This product is the best I could find in the U.S. right now and I just add meal worms, fresh vegetables and dried herbs (if those were included, I'd rate it 5 stars) for the right balance. Meal worms are important because dwarfs need a lot of protein (but 2 a day should be the maximum, otherwise they get really chubby). I'm originally from Germany and I know that there they have food mixes that are ideal for dwarfs and contain everything on my wish list, that's why I can only give it 4 stars. When you own a dwarf hamster, don't just buy regular hamster food, go with this product instead.

As first-time dwarf hamster owners, we are glad to have found this product. We had gotten the regular formula from the pet store not knowing that there was a different one for dwarfs. They actually did seem to be getting too fat on the regular food and seem a healthier weight now. I will say that they don't love the pellet parts but I think that's true in general so I don't refill their bowl until it looks like they've eaten some of those too.

My hamster loves this food. I've done a fair bit of reading up on what food to feed my robo hamster, and was reluctant to purchase this food. Between this food and oxbow hamster food (which is highly recommended by small mammal enthusiasts), my hamster consistently ate this food first. It is not typically the only food I feed her (I mix in the oxbow) but is definitely what she prefers, and she has been very healthy. I have had her for over two years, and that is well past a typical robo's life expectancy. Again, I would not use this as the only feed offered, but it's definitely the most exciting.

I have two very picky dwarf robo hamsters and they actually love this food, so I buy it every time I run low. Since my hamsters are dwarf size, this bag lasts me about 2 months. The only thing they don't like is the pellets but since they each everything else, plus whatever fresh veggies I give them, I keep buying it. I not only put it in a bowl, but in their bedding so they can forage for food. I've tried other blends, but they never eat as much or touch the one type food bag.

No problems with the food, it came fast and our hammie likes it. But she does pick out the bits she likes and eats those first.... She likes the seeds a lot. The black sunflower seeds are the first to go. She eats the rest... but very slowly. So I generally but more food in her cage before it is all out. I got an Oxbow formula and will be using this for a treat or mix in with other food.

Robo hamster was only so-so about eating his food until I switched to this dwarf hamster specific food. And, man oh man, he loves this stuff. It contains an abundance of small seeds that he can eat (no large seeds he has to sift through and reject). He is eating more, he is active more, he is all-around a happier hamster.

Very happy with this product - Little guy comes quickly out of his home when I put in his food - would recommend this to any little Hamster - Great shipping as well.
