I'm really happy with this grill. I've cooked on it 20+ times in about 3 months and it's just so easy. The slow n sear basket makes indirect cooking setup fast and simple. The grates aren't showing any signs of rust, nor is the body. Cleaning it is easy, as is temp control. I originally purchased it for grilling mainly but now I also use it for smoking more often than my Weber Smokey Mountain because it's just so easy to setup.

I love my SnS kettle. Well built, heavy duty. Easy to dial in temps. Even fits a 16lb brisket.

It is all of the things the Weber Kettle should be. Spinable grate, a grate that opens on 1 side for charcoal/fire management, the thermometer on the "correct" side of the lid, and it includes a Slow and Sear charcoal holder. Yes, it's more expensive than a standard Weber Kettle but it comes with all of the items that you will wind up buying for a Weber Kettle when you get into the act of charcoal cooking.

Grill is great over all. However I've had it for about a week and have used it 4 times and the enamel on the lid has already chipped.Update to 5 Stars: I contacted SNS customer support and with in a few hours they shipped me a new lid. I can't say enough good things about this company. This is the first time actually leaving a review for anything.

Love it. My first charcoal grill (finally live in a place where I'm allowed to own and use one lol) and it's awesome. Love the Slow-n-Sear. The quality is awesome. It's sturdy and very simple to put together. The instructions are easy to follow and it can be done by one person...in a hot garage, in the middle of summer...in Las Vegas. If I can do it, YOU can do it. Cooking with the Slow-n-Sear is a breeze and let me tell you...I'm going to be cooking outside as often as is possible...especially in the dessert winters.

So the kettle is well made and has several things I think the Weber should have but don't. Like the four legs, spin grate, smoke hole, port hole, and thermometer location.But it's not perfect. It does have it's own set of problems. Mostly in that it's very incompatible with a lot of accessories.I've heard the viper controller won't work due to the four leg design.Also a lot of things that should fit in the rim don't due to the SNS kettle being slightly bigger than a Weber. I bought an Only Fire rotisserie / pizza oven combo that I had to return due to not fitting.Until someone makes some type of reducer ring, you are tied into accessories SNS makes like their own rotisserie. Other brands won't fit.The lid is also slightly lower than a Weber. This could be either an up or down depending on what you cook.Also the ash collector is way flimsier than I expected.

It came down to this SnS or webber. I couldn’t see this one in person but when down and looked at the webber options. I did not want direct flame for health reasons. These grill had all the webber had and more. I ended up getting the tray to catch the grease and loved the charcoal pan with trap for water to help the smoke stick to the meat. So far I am very impressed. My first few nights of steak were great. I used lump charcoal and got a nice smoke taste and a perfect sear. I would buy this grill again and buy the looks of the build quality I wont half to. If you are in the market, buy this one.
