This is a great laser, especially for a first one. It was cheap and a good entry. Makes great engravings. Setup was a little difficult but once you play around, it does great work. I bought the extender and will use this until it dies on me then upgrade.

I've always wanted one of these and I'm so glad I finally took the plunge Well, the first things I tried with this was engraving a bouquet of flowers on a wooden picture frame that I picked up from the craft store. That went exceedingly well, so I then tried to engrave one of my favorite characters on a piece of wood, and that's Kirby and he turned out 100 percent adorable!Cleaning this together was actually really easy. I had everything assembled in together in less than 15 minutes. You do need some space to use it, but you can use it on any surface as the legs hold itself stable so you don't have to have like a dedicated space for this. You can move it around, which is great.I'm super excited about the fact that I can do engravings on things like leather and on metal as well. I'm going to try to make a leather wristband with some anime characters on it later this month.Bonus - It even comes with safety glasses!
