Three versions of Richard Matheson's classic novel I AM LEGEND have been filmed, but NONE have faithfully captured Matheson's novel. Matheson himself wrote a script for I AM LEGEND which was purchased by Hammer Films. Sadly, the US and British Censor Boards demanded changes both Matheson and the filmmaker refused to make. For the first time the reader can see Matheson's vision for his novel, far different than any of the film adaptations. Two other unproduced scripts fill out the 525-page book -- "The Distributor" and "Sweethearts and Horrors." Mark Dawidziak edited the "I Am Legend" section with his insightful analysis. Includes an afterword by R.C. Matheson.
