Well written. Not too difficult, even for non native speakerd
I like the description of the people in the story. Everybody with a criminal background head a different mental „desease“ and you could well capture the differences. This is valid also for the other people involved. You cannot stop reading. Difficult to know who is the murderer and why he did it?

Fun read
I really enjoyed this story. Decently paced. I connected with the main character. Good placement of cookie crumbs to get you thinking.

Disturbing Topic
I'm a big fan of Helen Fields...especially DI Callanach books. This book was hard going. Fields books are often disturbing but this one was over the top:( Baarda didn't play much of a role..in fact he was extraneous? Nice try H.F. but perhaps go back to what you write best...don't tamper with perfection

Mediocre
I'm struggling to give this 3 stars. I love the idea, enjoyed the interviews with the "guests " I even quite liked Connie but what a bloody slog to finish it. There was so much that didn't need to be in there, plot holes all over the place. It felt like a mild rip off of one of the alien films with murder being the start.OK I'm rambling now but considering the hype it was very long winded.
